Both released tonight via the MMi Cydia repo LockDockBar and QuickUnlock provide some extra features and functionality to your iPhone's lockscreen.



LockDockBar

This utility puts your Phone, Mail, SMS, and Calendar apps on your lock screen above slide to unlock for quick and easy access. Just a quick install from Cydia and you can access all four of the applications mentioned above with a quick finger tap from the lockscreen. No slide to unlocked needed.

QuickUnlock

QuickUnlock provides more options for locking/unlocking your iPhone. If your phone is locked simply hit the home button three times to unlock temporarily. After you hit the home button three times you'll be able to browse around your home screen for 10 seconds. If you do not choose an app or hit the home button again during those ten seconds your phone will re-lock automatically.

LockDockBar I think should have "some" security to it, so nosey eyes cant see what others text or email you.

Maybe like the QuickUnlock where you would have to tap the icon 3 times when your in your lockscreen?

the only problem that im having with quickunlock is that it doesnt make any unlock sound and instead of going to the springboard, quickgold pops right up.

nice one. It would be good to have a pref though to switch this on/off, without having to un/install it.

uhmmm, i dont get it, isnt the point of locking the screen so you dont go into ur apps?this is like moving your dining table outside ur house bcs u like eating so much..?

well ive installed it, then reinstalled it and now removed it as nothing showed up on my springboard, lock screen or settings as a result of installing this?

and i need to have possibility to change icon. Why? look at screenshot

I've been looking everywhere to find that same "skin" for the dock.. where can i find that dock to have my four apps arranged like that on the bottom?

Yeah I think some kind of settings page for lockdock would be good so you could assign a number of clicks on the icons to open them. If not we should just have our phones unlocked all the time.

Your theme is brilliant mate. Not overly keen on the background but the icons and dock are top. Whats it called and is the dock available on its own?

I want the dock also, looks very much like WMP11!

Btw, can someone please tell me if after installing LockDockBar, you have to restart springboard, ie you click "Restart SpringBoard" in Cydia after installing or when you push home Springboard automatically restarts?
I'm asking because if I restart Springboard, my iPhone goes "crazy", the spinning circle comes up 3 times, iPhone reboots automatically and then spinning circle again comes up twice on the "Enter Passcode" screen, iPhone restarts itself and 70% of the time it will go into "Safe Mode", something about MobileSubstrate, *sighs*.
