What file format do the ringtones have to be in? Is there a max size/time?

This is the easiest thing ever. Download Audacity and LAME from download.com export your 15-30 second clip as an .mp3 file and drag and drop it when your iPhone is docked. Amazing. So simple. LOVE this program.
PS -does anyone know of a way to change the text message/mail alerts?Last edited by Aidenn; 09-03-2007 at 10:48 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

Hey, sorry guys, I found a bug right after I submitted it and the new version hasn't been approved yet, so were still waiting on that.
In the meantime, here's the file.

Are you using Vista?
I just tried it on a Vista computer and it works fine. It seems a lot of people are having problems running it on Vista. The only time I had problems running it is when I tried to run it before I had iTunes installed. Also, maybe try running it as Administrator, but I didn't have to do that.Last edited by wally_wall; 09-04-2007 at 11:13 AM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

I've been draggin .mp3 files into iRingtoner and they are being added successfully and I can view and listen to them via the sounds>ringtone menu on the iPhone. However, whenever someone calls my phone it's not working.
Update: I did a system shutdown and restart of the iPhone (full power down) and it works like a champ! Great app!
