You can sync podcasts from iTunes to iPhone.
What is the point of this app, Apple were right it does "duplicate the iTunes feature", well sorta.
So basically it store Podcasts offline, so can the iPod section in iPhone. 3G and Edge are too slow for video but the YouTube app can stream video over 3G/Edge.
So what is all the fuss?? I don't get it!
What's the difference between Podcaster and the iPod podcast section except the streaming option??

@almerica: I purchased Podcaster through the Ad Hoc method. I am having an issue that the podcast will stop about 20 minutes into a one hour podcast. It has happened to me with a couple of them. They are downloaded onto the phone. Are others having that issue or is it an issue with the file? Thanks for a great app!

@A.T: This app allows you to download the podcast onto the phone over the air. iTunes does not! So it doesn't duplicate the iTunes feature; it enhances it by providing the over-the-air download feature. If you are nowhere near your computer or your iTunes app, then you cannot download a podcast over the air onto the iPhone. It is a matter of convenience for people who want to be able to download a podcast on the fly; you can update the podcasts and download new podcasts as you see fit. Also, there are tabs for Featured, Newest, Top Rated, and Popular podcasts. I never used podcasts on the phone myself, so it is great to be able to see some podcasts that are popular or top rated and choose a couple from the list. It cost $10 with the ad hoc method, so $5 is a bargain!

I watch geekbrief.com, cnet.com, etc all the time, its so nice to have the podcasts updated just waiting for you to download without iTunes!!! AWESOME

It does not work, i tried downloading some podcasts from G4 and it would only download a part of it, and for whatever reason it even states that the video is not compatible for playback.

Hey, this is a very nice app. Its a shame it got rejected from the app store.

But I have a few problems and maybe some recommendations.

I am a big "ESPN: MMA Live" fan but when I search for it, it doesn't show up. I can see it on iTunes but not Podcaster. Can you explain this?

As for a suggestion, it would be nice to sort out the podcast from audio ones and ones that are just videos.

Other than that this app is very well done. You definitely have a customer man, keep up the good work!

Maybe you should just dump your iPhone and quit being so mad at Apple! My Lord! I have never seen anyone with so much vitriol for the company that has actually produced a phone WE all really like. Sure, there are issues, but you are not a developer - as far as I can tell - just an angry young man Which, I, think, the band Kansas has a great song for you from the old days. You have a LOT of growing up, sir, and I hope you come to understand the world does not revolve around your 1,700+ posts....Oh, and what was that about me not being able to use the internet - or something like that? Seems as if you have had a few posts removed - for some reason.....

ALL apps were NEVER free. Even in the days of Installer on 1.1.x, you were still required to BUY many of the better apps - not that the others were bad - it just indicates that Snapture, Kate, Customize, Paper Calc, iPhoneVideoRecorder (thanks, saurik, for the option) et al, did cost money. I have NEVER seen a time when all apps were free and nor should we. I remember one1 lambasting saurik and ste for daring to introduce ads into the mix to reduce cost - and MAYBE make a bit of money for their efforts! Even with a MS Mobile phone - it is not a free ride, but if you think so, dump your iPhone and go to an MS phone...............................

All apps were never free. And plenty of developers asked for donations. You probably never donated; so that's why you claim that they were all free. Do you have a job? If not, do your parents have a job? If so, do you and/or your parents get paid for working? Then you should pay others for their work as well. If everybody becomes a freeloader, we will only get crappy and/or ad-filled apps for this platforms. I don't look forward to that scenario. I would rather pay to get plenty of solid, ad-free, and quality apps. Now stop your whining and pay up! I gladly paid $10 for this app; $5 is 50% off - a great bargain! If you don't use podcasts ro you don't mind syncing them with iTunes, then don't buy the app and use iTunes to sync your podcasts. These people make it seem like somebody is forcing them to buy the apps and that they don't have an alternative. You do; so make whichever choice suits you best.

Maybe the non-iTunes source is flash? Maybe you should write to the maker of the app?
