need help. This is what i get

5n.bin not found
2n.bin not found
1c.bin not found
5c.bin not found
id.bin not found
ERROR: required files are missing, the game cannot be run

Please help new to mame and confused on where to get Bios if that is what is missing.

Works like a charm!! if only we had an emulator for all the atari 2600 games on the iphone!

I didn't need any bios file to run any of the games that I installed...maybe that is what you doin wrong?

i just dragged the zip file into the rom folder and the ran mame. confused

king of fighters
ridge racer
metal slug 3
contra
capcom vs snk2
bomberman
marvel vs capcom

got contra to the menu screen then very very slow framerate to the point i couldnt tell if i was moving..
oh well

All Working So Far:

I had to find an old CD of mine (like from 2001) and installed older version roms. All of the newer versions that I installed did not work.

mame4iphone only supports 0.37b5 roms which are very hard to find!

direct google links are legal.

to whoever is searching for working roms...

roms are re-dumped to work with the newest versions of mame so even if you find a game that is in the compatibility list, it might not work anyway...you have to find roms based on mame version 0.37b5 ('cause mame4iphone is based on that)

*hint* ...try googling "mame 0.37b5"... *hint*

edit: *hint2* ...mame4iphone is based on mame4all, a GP2X emulator so they share the same roms... *hint2*

Don't get your hopes up hondakorn Street Fighter 2 CE woked but frame rate was slow so you know KI will probably be even worse.

Yes perfectly stated. The ROMS you people found so far are probably updated to .117. I stopped updating my mame port after .103 because I think after 107 they stopped doing highscore saves. There are other mame32ports that support gamesaves but 103 works perfectly. So do a search for roms with in the .37 port.

doesn't work well. The games that do work run pretty slow. Only a few games I downloaded are actually playable. Maybe they will get it working better in the near future.

My game list of working roms, by sucks i mean you have got about 5 fps when playing.

street fighter 2 runs but sucks,
outrun runs but sucks,
POW runs great! (smooth frame rate)
Double dragon runs but sucks.
metal slug doesn't run,
wonder boy doesn't run,
wonder boy in monster land doesn't run.

IT all depends on what rom set you have. I have many games that work on mine. some with sound, some not. This is a great start! Quite easy to get started. Put roms where it tells you and start up. I dont see why people are having problems

It's not perfect, but still fun enough. I transferred over most the of ones recommended from zodttd. (ones I remember playing back in the day at least)
