We haz Windows Quickpwn 2.1!!!

Well had 1g 2.0 and just used quickpowned to 2.1 no problem. I did a clean restore with itunes then used quickpown. Its unlocked and jailbroken and now Im restoring all my info from my old backup.

WHOA wtf? It wont restore my old backup, it says its corrupt or incompatible? Uh anyone?

am I the only one that after i load the 2.1 ipsw file nothing else happens..the arrow doesnt turn blue to proceed to the next step it just stays gray

Again I have a 1st gen iPhone still with a at&t contract but want it unlocked so I can use my T-Mo simcard. I went through the whole process on the quickpwn to unlock and then installed bootneuter and the settings in bootneuter show already what it should be to be unlocked but when i put the other simcard in I get that emergency screen and it's telling me to connect to itunes. I can still make calls but can't get rid of that annoying emergency screen. Can anyone recommend anything? Or is it because I don't have a custom firmware with an unlocked version.

Dudes u all confusing me!! Ok, all I want to know is if I can unlcok my 3G iphone with this amazing software. I have already updated it to 2.1. How to install QuickPwn on to the iphone? Do I have to do a backup? If so how do I do that? Can this software run on Vista or Win XP?

Check Cydia, there's an upgrade for Snapture which works with 2.1. (Haven't tried it yet, but that's what the changelog says at least.)

hadnt seen that, its a new update must have been done early this morning, last time i checked it was 2 am and it was still version 2.0, now 2.1

So I fudged my upgrade by not taking everything off (winterboard, makeitmine, etc) eventually did a full restore to 2.1 and then QuickPwned. It somewhat works? The wireless refuses to connect to any wireless access point unless I manually enter it, and that only works half the time.. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Quickpwn 2.1 sucks! It doesn't give the ability to do a wipe all date. I installed customize and it still recognize all my previous packages in terms of themes and other stuff, but can't use'em, uninstall'em, or reinstall'em. Can't wait for winpwn

so if i upgrade to 2.1, then quickpwn and JB my 2g iphone, i then plug it into my computer and hit restore to backup...

it acts like its going to work and then i get the apple logo, get all excited thinking it will work, and then BAMM!!! i get the loading circle thing and it sits there and vibrates every few seconds (and let me tell ya thats freaking annoying)

How do i get my restore on there? i need some of the contacts that are on the restore that arent on the sim card.

p.s. If my restore is not compatible with the iphone... how do i fix it? i need those contacts....

i can unlock the phone and use my sim card, i just cant do a restore on it. im not sure about syncing either but i will give it a shot.

you should probably just restore it (unless youre wanting to keep your apps then follow the guide)

put it in DFU mode and restore it in itunes then re quickpwn it and do the jailbreak and it should work for you.

you'll have to get bootneutor from cydia to unlock it and everything should work out just fine.

Been waiting since last weekend for this and it works great! I was on a jailbroke and unlocked phone w/2.0.2 firmware. Here's what I did.

Synced my phone, updated to firmware 2.1 from 2.0.2 on iTunes (it kept it's unlock afterwards!), ran Quickpwn 2.1 without a custom firmware, opened Cydia, installed AptBackup, opened AptBackup, pressed "restore" (you need to have had it on your phone and have "backedup" your apps prior to updating for it to work), and all my Cydia apps were back and working. Thank you Dev Team!

Ok so I have pwned my phone but for some reason my default boot logos are displaying. Everything else is working fine (JBroken and everything, I already made a lot of changes to my phone) but is there a way to change the boot logos without having to do a restore from iTunes? I thought i selected them to be changed to the pinapple and cartoon pic of steve jobs but I still have the apple and itunes/cord logo?

I am assuming your speaking of the "Quickpwn.exe" file, I would try re-downloading it, maybe you get a bad copy.

Either someone is getting paid for it not to come out or we need to beg the Dev and Zibiri to work together. They are all stuck.

Actually I know a Canadian guy who has a software unlock for his iPhone 3G but he's not going to make it public, personal use only.

His iPhone 3G will only work on Rogers but when he uses the software on the 3G, it accepts any sim, he has to use the software every time the iPhone 3G gets updated as it gets locked to Rogers.

So there is a software unlock for 3G but the Dev Team haven't found it. Geohot will be the only one out of zibri, dev team and himself to figure out the 3G unlock. He unlocked the first iPhone, fw 1.1.2 and a way to downgrade the bootloader to 3.9 and he probably will be the first to release an unlock for 3G.
