Apple iPhone error in Activation Video
Noticed this mistake in the newly released Apple iPhone activation video on http://www.apple.com/iphone/usingiph...ion_large.html
Picture attached.
That's one BIG iPhone to have 74.40GB capacity! Either they've seriously upped the capacity of the iPhone prior to release OR (more likely) they were using the 80GB iPod for that portion of the tutorial.

I noticed that as well, would be great to have the size it was showing. Funny even the best miss stuff when you have to mock things up. Do it in my job as well.

I bet that is the actual amount of storage the iPhone can hold. They probably didn't even realize they made that mistake.

I for one don't WANT 80GB until its all flash drive... the battery life (and weight) would be terrible for a phone using a conventional spinning-platter hard drive.

I hear seem 0032 0001 controls the hard drive storage size. You just uncheck a bit right?
Ha ha ha ha ha.I write Mac only tutorials for the iPhone and own every model. My iPhones run on the following SIMs/networks: AT&T, GoPhone, H2O, O2, SimpleMobile, T-Mobile and Verizon.

iPhone meltdown occurs during hardware hack
Not that it doesn't completely go without saying, but whenever you start hacking any battery-powered portable device, you need to freaking be careful. Otherwise you might end up like dude here who was pulling a Geohot on his iPhone when short circuited and became red hot, releasing the magic smoke hither locked inside the device's electronics. Lesson learned: you take your phone, even your life, into your own hands when screwing with components, so be gentle and careful, will you?

They were probably using an 80 gig ipod at first in itunes for the prliminary stuff, just like the ringtones tab was from the motorola rockr
