Probably it is determine if your iphone is unlocked
As we have seen,,, in some countries it is illegal to sell locked iphones, so in some country, iphones are sold unlocked. No matter if you restore nor update, it will still remain unlocked. So, this code could mean "factory unlocked"

i dont know what all the huff and puff is about.... its obviously just another barcode (well the 21st century barcode). its most likely the serial number
its not like its gonna unravel the mysteries of the universe.8Gig > 1.0 FW (dead spot on screen)
