Firmware 1.1.4 Released for Iphone / iPod Touch

How stupid am I??? I updated thinking the ziphone will still work and that I had nothing to lost cos' i could restore it back to 1.1.3. Well!!!! ziphone doesn't work and now I can't restore it back. I keep getting an error: "the iphone could not be restored. An unknown error occured (1015)". Any help please?????????

If you are getting 1015 and try if you have down graded to 1.1.1 or 1.1.2 or 1.1.3 is normally use the old proceedure. I have just upgraded to 1.1.4 . Will try my luck to unlock it ziphone does not work. I repeat Ziphone does not work .

Phone was v1.1.3 using NateTrue's upgrade (jailbroken, unlocked). Bootloader was 3.9. Using non AT&T SIM.

restored v1.1.4 using iTunes
jailbroken, unlocked, and activated using ZiPhone v2.5
restored backup via iTunes

I've been reading through the forums about the update. As of now I have 1.1.3 jb with a bunch of apps. Is it really worth it to restore, jailbreak and re download all my apps? I guess I'm being lazy here, but I wanted some more thoughts from people who upgraded and jailbroke. Looks easy with ziphone, but re installing apps seems annoying to me.

yeah I was wondering the same thing, maybe its not worth it 2 update 2 1.1.4 since alot of the applications is not supported by the firmware.

Anyone know if the directories for customize files and summerboard files is the same as 1.1.3?

Well to download stuff from Installer, you need to change the SystemVersion.plist. When you change that to anything, that is what will show up in iTunes and in Settings>General>About. If you want, just change it back from 1.1.3 to 1.1.4, and everything will be good as new.

Had the same problem.

I uninstalled iTunes from my PC, then reinstalled it and the problem was gone.

Now it shows me that 1.1.4 is the latest version and that my iPhone has the 1.1.4.

I just don't see the sense in upgrading to 1.1.4. I previously upgraded to 1.1.3. Though the wobbly icons were cool, but decided to stick with 1.1.1. Most stable that i've used. Less glitches than any other firmware. Now I just wait for the SDK. Hopefully it's a little bit useful.

Upgraded to 1.1.4 a few days ago from 1.1.3 (1.1.1 prior to that, originally a 1.0.2 phone).

Process:
Backed up phone in iTunes.
Use ZiPHONE to relock phone.
Disconnected phone and powered OFF.
Press & Hold HOME button while reconnecting to USB. Continue holding HOME button.
When "Connect to iTunes" image appears on phone, let go of HOME button.
Allow iTunes to "check" device/updates. Restored 1.1.4 Firmware.
On completion, started ZiPHONE and ran "Do it all". (approx. 3 minutes)
After Phone reboot, everything is done on a nice clean phone.
NOTE: I did a few phones this way and noticed SOME of them came back with no audio. Resolution for this in each case was to press & hold power and home buttons until the phone resets (do not "slide off" - just keep holding). When the phone restarts, audio works (and continues to work properly).
Restore in iTunes to get back your contacts/media.

Things I have noticed in 1.1.4:
- definitely a MAJOR improvement in regards to stability, speed, and "smoothness" of the UI
- major improvement in reception and call (audio) quality.
- I have not dropped a single call since the update

i upgrade 1.1.4 and used ziphone 2.5c (make sure dont use ziphone 2.5b) and it did it all everything is working perfectly fine on o2 pay and go. THANKS ZIBRI

does anyone thing its possible to copy the mail files from 2.0 firmware and paste them into the phone via fugu and overwrite existing files that you could get the email exchange working on 1.1.4 firmware
