Why even Upgrade it to any of FW Updates other then 1.0.2?
1.0.2 is just fine. Its a Phone, now init'?
They are all Relatively same !

im on 1.1.4 jailbreak and everything works (att user), i highly recommend you to update your phone while in recovery mode, other wise you will have some bugs here and there
BTW customize and summerboard work perfect when the systemversion.plst file is modified

Can someone please confirm. What are the benefits availlable on 1.1.4.
I am just waiting for the Bluetooth file sending to be made possible. I read somewhere it is there. I have read many places but they can't confirm anything other than bug fixes, someone just put it online here

Lol. You have fun with your slow, buggy, unsupported firmware. The word "update" usually means the other version before it is missing something (this update not included) but 1.0.2 falls short the furthest.

anyone one thats att and upgraded can just add blaze's source to installer and install the 1.1.3 sv patch and get all the programs back running including summerboard

02-27-2008, 01:39 AM #212kinda works.....
i have an OTB 1.1.2 iphone 8 gig. i upgraded to 1.1.3 and jailbroke with ziphone. i just updated to 1.1.4 and used ziphone to jailbreak, which seems to have worked, except none of the apps show up on the homescreen. they are shown as still installed in installer, but only the installer icon shows up. the SMS bug seems to be fixed though, that was a big one for me.
o yea, im an AT&T user, so i didnt try unlocking or anything.
edit>> new installed apps appear on the home screen. if you uninstall an app and reinstall it, it will show up.

Well, I did the update. Everything is working!!! I'm on ATT too so I'm not sure if the unlock from ZiPhone works. Had to do a quick 1.1.4>1.1.3 edit to get a few things installed like SummerBoard, Tweaks 1.1.3 and so on... Thanks to all that worked hard to get things going.

Try going into dfu recovery mode then restoring or downgrading.
But I still dont think you will get your phone capability back right now
because the update will update your modem frimware.
Downgrade and wait for a modem firmware downgraded

I fully agree !!!! I'm really fed up with these updates which are just "bug fixes", or just stuff to sell more from iTunes !!!
Asus P550 and Samsung i900 are coming soon , take care Apple ! if no big improvments on iphone at this time, i'll change for one of those ... and i'll don't be the only one to do it !!!

However, restore back to 1.1.1, reviginize the baseband and upgrade back to 1.1.3 and it should fix it. Worked for me. Another thing to try first is clean out the headphone jack by cutting off 3/4 of the cotton tip on a swap, spray the tip with a tiny amount of window cleaner or alcohol and gently clean out the headphone jack. Sometimes dirt can get inside the jack and fool the iPhone into thinking the headphones are plugged in. I suspect the former will fix your problem
