PwnageTool & QuickPwn 2.1 Released - iTunes 8 Compatible

The dev team has done it again and this time in only one day. You can now grab your copy of QuickPwn or PwnageTool for Mac OS X that will allow you to pwn your iPhone that is already at firmware version 2.1 or load on a custom 2.1 .ispw.

Yes there are no issues with iTunes 8 when you use these. No patching required at all

Windows users will need to wait a bit for Windows programs to catch up. These are not for the new iPod Touch since the devs don't have one yet.

Just like last time, they've initially released the tools via bit torrent only. MMi has provided mirrors as well. Here's the download info:

anyone got a Custom IPSW then can share for the 1st GEN Iphone so I can just restore and get 2.1 till Winpwn gets release soon I hope since I dont have a MAC

Wish I would have seen this, this morning. I could have built one and brought it with me to work, now Ill have to wait till I get off tonight. If anyone decides to upload a custom firmware, Santa Claus wont miss your house this year

Stupid question-since my phone is already pwned, once i create my new custom .ipsw file, is there any reason to put the phone into DFU mode to do the restore? Can i just option+click restore via itunes?

Is everything able to be accessed and changed in 2.1? Like the MobileInstallation file?

What about winterboard and other great apps?

Yes, you can simply click option+restore to choose a ipsw file having already pwned your device.

Sup, Hey just wanted to see if anyone else got the same issue. I got a 3G 16G on 2.0.2 jailbroken with quickpwn and just tryed to use pwange tool to update to 2.1 and got the error 1600 in itunes 8. I saw there was a patch for itunes somewhere, if so please post. Thanks
