AT&T ONLY 3G iPhone Custom restore file
Sorry to quote myself but for those that are on AT&T w/3G iPhone hang on, I'm uploading to my site and will post the link. Let me repeat for those in the cheap seats... this WILL NOT ACTIVATE your 3G iPhone and is ONLY for AT&T users. Hopefully it won't kill my site but if it does it's for a worthy cause...

Upgrade worked great... iPhone is running better then before! only thing I had an issue with is I lost some of my downloaded applications when I went to 2.1 (from 2.0.2).. I synced my phone just before I did the upgrade too.. so that everything would be up to date.. I had to go back and re-download approx. 3-4 apps.. but still the update is working great!!! Thx Dev Team!!!!

Is there any way to jailbreak to 2.1 and keep your apps downloaded from Cydia or Installer if you're still on jailbroken 2.0.2?
I need to call one of my friends who owns an Apple computer...

is anybody else having problems with it finding the bootloader files and saying that they're "not the proper files"?

This is a little off topic, but I already upgraded and did the jailbreak with no issues on my 3G. I installed winterboard and downloaded the theme I was using again. For some reason it seems like the icons are cropped different. It cuts off parts of the icons on multiple themes that I use. Is this happening for anyone else? Trying to find a fix, I hate the stock iphone icons and I hate that most of the themes I tried have the icons looking cutoff
thoughts?

rapidshare has a cap of 200 MB won't help, the image is at least 225, mines 227. Mediafire has a 100MB cap. About 35 minutes to go... crappy Cox Internet.. 80K upload...
Edit: I've tested this on three iPhones (my 2 and one I'm selling) and so far no problems.Last edited by CyberGreg; 09-13-2008 at 12:19 PM.

If I use a custom firmware for 2g phones (I am on windows)do I need to use Itunes 8 to shift restore it or can I stick with itunes I used to restore my phone to 2.0 from 1.4?
Silly question but can you shift click and upgrade so you can keep all the apps on the phone, or do you only have the option to restore with a custom firmware and not upgrade?

hope this helps out a little bit.
Send big files the easy way. Files too large for email attachments? No problem!
also, after re-pwning my phone i'm noticing that i keep getting an error "could not activate cellular data network: you are not subscribed to a cellular data service"
any idea's on that? i'm unlocked/jailbroken through tmobile and i have the all in data plan.
