all of my apps from cydia and the app store are working flawlessly! i had some issues with the apn settings but other than that this firmware seems to be amazing. it's way faster to do anything signal strength seems to be better as well.

is anyone having problem with apps hanging upon launching? first upgraded to 2.1 from 2.01 using itunes directly, issues so i restored to factory using itunes then upgraded again using pwnage back to 2.1. apps still hang and some just lock-up. mail, settings, etc

i updated my iPhone to 2.1 successfully and installed the cracked apps using mobileinstallation...etc
But now my itunes shows "Itunes could not back because iPhone disconnected"
please help me out guys!

Installed the old (2.0.x) cracked MobileInstallation

Rebooted the phone.

No joy.

Phone won't boot

It hangs at the bootlogo screen

Other than that, 2.1 install was a breeze with iTunes 8

HOW TO UPGRADE AND NOT LOSE ANYTHING!!!


I HAVE DONE IT!!!!!
UPGRADED FROM JAILBROKEN 2.02 TO OFFICIAL 2.1 USING ITUNES 8
PWNED 2.1 USING QUICKPWN
INSTALLED SSH USING NEW CYDIA
COPIED ALL OLD JAILBROKEN APPS FROM STASH/APPLICATIONS FOLDER TO THE NEW APLLICATIONS.KUYFKHG FOLDER AND DONE SAME FOR ALL FOLDERS IN STASH.
PATCHED MOBILE INSTALATION WITH OLD MODDED 2.02 ONE
REBOOTED AND BRICKED HOWEVER COULD STILL SSH INTO IPHONE
REPLACED 2.02 MOBILE INSTALATION WITH THIS ONE Send big files the easy way. Files too large for email attachments? No problem! AND SET FOLDER PREFS TO 775.
REBOOTED AND NOW HAVE ALL MY OLD CYDIA FILES AND APPS, JAILBROKEN APPS, APPSTORE APPS AND HACKED IPA APPS ALL WORKING AS IF I WAS STILL ON 2.02.
And the best thing it all took less than an hour!!

Im off to the pub so please dont message me too much about how to do this. Just follow what I have written above and have a little faith!!

SSH into the phone, you still can even though it hasnt booted and replace the MobileInstallation with this one. Send big files the easy way. Files too large for email attachments? No problem!

Sorry bud, mine also worked till I rebooted but this fixed it and now I have everything back!! WOOHOO

im pretty sure you wont lose anything because its quickpwn i did the whole 17 step using quickpwn and i didnt lose any apps but the cracked apps because i didnt have the mobile.installation

hey guys I'm having a problem. When I click Shift + Restore in itunes 8, it goes directly to "Extracting Software" I take it itunes has the restore image cache somewhere, any idea where it might be?
