QuickPwn for Mac Finally out!

Recently, we witnessed the release of WinPwn 2.5. The Dev Team is right behind them with the launch of QuickPwn for Mac.

Click the image to open in full size.

After a solid wait, Mac users can now have a piece of the QuickPwn cake. DevTeam Friday released the QuickPwn tool for Mac. For those of you who don't yet know, QuickPwn is basically a simpler and easier solution to jailbreak your iPhone - of which Windows users have had the monopoly for a few weeks.

The interface is essentially similar to the PwnageTool. QuickPwn is not a replacement for Pwnage but rather another jailbreak solution for the noobs and hasty people. This tool has the same features as QuickPwn for Windows.

For the time being, there's just a torrent release - but the DevTeam mirror should be up within next 12 hours. We've put up a quick MediaFire mirror here. MMi Member can download it here.

wPz, you need to jailbreak your phone.
if you are using windows, use winpwn
if you are using OSx then use Pwnage tool
search the forum to find out how to do this.

is there still the mail issue using quickpwn? I had to downgrade after using pwnage tool 2.0.3 because my phones wifi died after upgrading to 2.0. I can't SSH to fix the mail permissions but I want to upgrade to fix key lag *Yes i've done everything i can possibly do to fix the wifi, downgrade, upgrade, full restore, reset network settings, wifi toggle, the whole shebang-but if you have NEW suggestions feel free*

I see, you can't use SSH because wifi is dead? Instead of ssh I believe BossPrefs has the ability to fix file system permissions. You can find it under "More" in the main screen. Another last thing to try is to not restore from backup and setup as a new phone. I know that will blow away, notes, sms etc (but not contacts) but that may fix your problem.

As for fixing wifi... Just a thought, but did you originally unlock a 1.1.4 iphone with ziPhone? This could be a reason why wifi isn't working. Go to network settings and check the mac address and make sure it is not: 00:5a:49:42:52:49. If it is, it may need to be repaired with the iLiberty+ mac fix payload.

They jailbreak using different methods and if you are unhappy with Cydia you'll be even more displeased with Installer

Really.. is it because they are still updating Installer?

I was really happy with Installer when I was still at 1.0.4 version..

Hmmm... but will using quickpwn be the correct path to shifting to Installer?
