QuickPwn for Mac Finally out!

[OPTICS]

For those who don't like the Pineapple or the Russian Steve, right-click on your QuickPwn icon and select "Show Package Contents". Go to Contents -> Resources.

The Pineapple is called "logo.png" and the Russian Steve is called "recovery.png"

You can replace them with your own PNGs (under compatible png formats of course) but keep the names the same.

So you NEED to have the pineapple as your bootup logo? Why place this limitation on people. To me, that would be the reason not to use this. I am no apple fanboy but there are certain things about stock that are nicer. Yeah I know, we are kicking it OUT of stock with this tool and that is the point, but a pineapple? IDK just looks too tacky. Maybe allowing us to pick from a few bootup logos in the future?

i used the pwnage last time.. will using quickpwn overwrite all apps?

There are various ways to replace the logos used by quickpwn. If you want complete control on logos or simply want the stock ones you could use pwnagetool (in expert mode) instead.

I used quickpwn earlier today and everything is working fine.

Stable and highly recommended due to ease of use. I'm pretty confident that 99% of the people who try this, will jailbreak their iPhone without messing up.

Assuming your phone is 2G then you have to install and run bootneuter from Cydia after using quickpwn. I would suggest instead to first use pwnagetool for the initial unlock and quickpwn for subsequent upgrades.

When I run pwnage, seems to go through all stages then:-

I have now restored the phone via itunes.

Can we start again?
Do I have the appropriate .ipsw file? If so pwnage tool should work?

Connect iphone to mac
Run pwnage - which ispw file do I need?
Do I need to tweak Bootneuter settings to :-
neuter
update bootloader to 4.6
unlock baseband
Auto delete the app?

Choose Build and that's it...hopefully?

the build .ipsw doesn't relate to your IPHONE.. i am sure that your software from your computer ..
please try to use the PWNG 2.5 just released .. or use the PWNG 2004 ..
i have a same problem when to use the 2003 (previous pwng builded) the file not found ..
try it and will see ..
also if you are using WINDOW VISTA then is a diff.. method ,,
if you are using window XP then it should go through ..

if you have a difficult to build the latest ver.. then please go back my last post in last page and do it as it method .. . i think it will work .. thanks

I have iphone 3G 2.0.2.
QuickPwn 1.0.0 (Mac) did it
I have tried Pwnage in all different ways, all I get is blinking Pineapple.
But QuickPwn did it the first time.

Just a quick question (no pun intended):

I'm running 2.0.1 on iPhone 3G. I want to upgrade to 2.0.2 using QuickPwn. Will this ERASE all my Jailbreak apps, like using PwnageTool does?
