    Default Nintendo Games on iPhone?
A rumor has it that Nintendo may partner with Apple to start releasing video games for the iPhone a few months after launch. Of course a big question is how will you emulate a d-pad controller with no hard-buttons?

I think that would be cool. To move the character you drag him with your finger, and then to jump you double tap him, etc.. that would be awesome

I seriously doubt that would happen, but it would be cool.

I think you should send that to Jobs, p_f, but make sure to apply for a patent first.

What about regular games? Will the games available on iTunes for iPods be playable on the iPhone?

I'm pretty sure it would have to be a totally different style of game from what we're all used to. Mario on iPhone would rock, but there's just no elegant way to handle the D-pad.

An example of such a game could be Iconfactory's first release, Frenzic. If you've never played this game for mac, it's really well done and FREAKING addicting. And the first thing that pops into your head when you play is "*Damn* I wish I didn't have to use a mouse for this." The guys at IF pitched the game to the iPhone team at WWDC, and are still waiting to hear back. So they're asking for all the fans to bug 'em about releasing the game on the phone
