Apple Wants to Know. Do You Like the iPhone 3g? MMi Wants to Know Too

Well Apple wants to know wether you like their product or not. They have begun sending out a survey to find out just that. The message they are sending out with the survey simply says:
We all know that the iPhone 3g launch and proceeding months has been hampered by issues. Is Apple trying to figure out what they have done wrong to improve their product in the future?Thank you for your purchase of the Apple iPhone 3G. We would like to ask you a few questions about your experience with your new phone. [...] The information you provide will be used to improve our product support. We will not use your responses to sell you products or services.
Oh and when you get to the question asking where you have gone to get iPhone help be sure tell them modmyi.com
We've made a little poll thing of our own, so be sure to take ours -- multiple answers allowed.

I don't know, my first generation on the 2.0.2 software is freaking out all the time. People call me all the time, and my phone wont even ring or even show that I have had a missed call. All the different App's screw with the sound level and most of the time I can't hear it ringing.
Modmyifone is awesome!

I posted this 2 days ago, well never mind.
I love my 3g, apple just need to admit there's a problem with 3g chip and bring a fix out. Appart from that I think it's one of the best portable OS's there is and a medeoka phone

One thing that isnt covered in the mmi survey:
I have problems syncing. I sync with THREE different computers. I have a media center where I keep my music, ringtones and movies. I have my home PC where I have my contacts and calendar. Then I have my work PC, where I also have contacts and a calendar. The iPhone is obviously not designed to sync with this many systems. My old Windows Mobile phone had no problems at all with this setup.

i just got my iphone 3g three days ago and I love it, reception is awesome and 3G is pretty good, 1Mbit/s average, I guess the biggest issue is the CEL provider, not the phone itself
Love curia and installer

I wonder Apple will or have changed the 3g chipset on newer production runs, any news on this anywhere?

i love my iphone 3g in all aspects except for the speed issues. it loads apps slower then my first gen iphone. i do not know if this is a hardware or software problem?.
PS: i dont use the 3g feature so i have no idea how good it is. it cost about 60$ at minimum in canada.

I'm sure we all want to big up mmi but telling apple where we got the information to jailbreak and unlock the iphone is not a bright idea. Please don't bring fire men to the torching.

3G is pretty awesome in Canada on Rogers. No dropped calls or signals, always 3+ 3G bars.
I hate the following:
No MMS/secondary camera/video (althought cycorder is getting close)
No forwarding SMS
No Copy/Cut + Paste
Too buggy, still crashes sometimes when dialing and lags
iPod has no adjustable EQ
No Flash support
No bluetooth file transfers

I like the 3g alot. I think it is the best phone out there or me. But it has it's faults. 2.0.2 is buggy and slugish. My phone doesn't ring when I get a text message even though I have it set to.
but then again my 1st gen phone didn't always ring when I got a text either.Last edited by tyfly867; 08-28-2008 at 11:35 AM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost
