Record Video on Firmware 2.0

Thats the thing, no one has done it because they cant, last time i checked the agreement you sign with Apple to allow them to put your app in the App Store is to not have your app available anywhere else other than the App Store, this means Cydia/Installer. So either it isnt going to be in the App Store or they are going to have to pull it from Cydia and sell it in the App Store

I heard Apple won't allow any modifications or extras yet until a SDK that supports the camera frameworks is released. Eg, Snapture adds more options to the current iPhone etc.

Not sure if that's true though.

Do I still need to ssh into the phone and install the document folders if the app installed and is recording/ encoding video without a problem?

i just installed it via cydia. i've had no problems, and haven't had to create a folder.

I just downloaded this from Cydia, works very well. At first I was concerned because it says "iphone video recorder for 3G" Being that I have a 2G, I figured Id try it out on one of my experimenting phones, and Volia!!! works great! Just purchased the full version.

Keep in mind though that today is a very gloomy day. No good lighting.

The only problem I see from the 2.0 update is that there is no email option, only upload to YouTube. I guess you just have to drag it off with ssh. And I can't their ivrtomac application to recognize the iPhone to pull the videos off.

Use phone view it recognizes 2.0 if you need a activated version let me know

Does anyone else have problems getting back to the homescreen after installing an app from Cydia, I have to wait until the circle next to the WiFi/Edge symbol stops spinning, which takes upto 30 mins??

Just going to wait for a stable Installer. Hope it has a new icon similar to iTunes store, App Store, Cydia. That would be just awesome!!!!!!

I know you have to ssh it I have done that I should of said that my bad. Yes cydia does that it just means it's install your apps no big deal.
I'm guess the other folder is a symlink so we can get to the video faster maybe? I don't know LOL I don't see anything.

That dreamcatcher stamp on the bottom right of the screen kills everything. I'm glad I'm on a earlier version without the stamp and I get it for free unlimited with the chinese hack.

Metronome does this, the author always releases the new version on Cydia first. Check it out.

There is something messed up about the white balance on these vids. None of my videos look like they did in the viewer. All the whites turn grey and get washed out.

20.00 realy? for that i can get a motoral razor with video and snapture features!!!!!!! this is so unjust showtime was only 5.oo and was exactly the same. This isnt worth 20.00 realy 6 $ at most

See it annoys me that people charge for apps on Cydia. It started off as freeware and donation funded work. Put it on the App store if you want to make money. (I got the crack for this on the 1.1.4 version)
