I tried this tutorial and is very well made, congratulations
I have just one little problem with it (I guess I made mistake somewhere )
when I open main directory of my repository it shows that information correctly
However, when I try to use Regenerate script/line/command (call it how You like ) I get this line for both "firmware 2.0" and "firmware 2.0.1"
<br /> <b>Warning</b>: opendir(./packages/data.tar.gz) [<a href='function.opendir'>function.opendir</a>]: failed to open dir: No error in <b>N:hostedura-netsubaru-reporegenerate.php</b> on line <b>196</b><br /> <br /> <b>Warning</b>: opendir(./packages/package.zip) [<a href='function.opendir'>function.opendir</a>]: failed to open dir: No error in <b>N:hostedura-netsubaru-reporegenerate.php</b> on line <b>196</b><br />
Thank You for advance

I had the same issues with the new repo code I had to revert back to the old one to get it to work right!
Now I only wish we had a complete tutorial on creating working packages and how to send then into the iphone correctly I have had 1 hell of a time with this.... I've gotten ringtones and wallpaper into the phone through the repo but thats it so far???

Hiphonepro You are right, lastly I can't browse much on installer because it hangs or makes whole iPhone reboot <pwnd> Until Installer will get out from beta tests and will be stable, we can't count on it much I guess...Let's wait for news about Installer 4 progress for now

here is my full situation
I'm hosting the repo on Vista PC
this is the output after the regenerate:
Generating index for firmware 2.0.2.
Scanning category 'Santana'...
Category 'Santana' scanned, 3 packages added, 0 packages skipped.
Pinging search server...
All done, thank you!
all permissions on the info folder are set to full control for everyone
after inserting the repo URL into the Iphone my category appears on the installer
now when i click on it it shows me the packages i have but with no icons
and when i click on any package to get the information it gives me
"Unable to decode error more info at repo/info......"
i dont know if i can be more clear than this
i also tried to change the zipping configuration but still no point
so i revert everything to how it was
thanks in advance

here is what to do to solve "Unable to decode package" error
Ok.. Santana.. there is another thing I forgot to mention for the Windows users out there.. It is extremely important to have IIS configured for PLIST files. If the server doesn't have these added, it will not work and will result in the unable to decode error. The best way to check if you have already done this is by browsing to http://yourwebsite.com/Info.plist.
If it says page not found, eventhough the file is there on the server, then that means you have not setup to allow plist files on the server.
Here's how you do it:
1) Open IIS
2) Right click on the website/folder for your iphone files
3) Click Properties
4) Select the HTTP Headers Tab
5) Click on MIME TYPES
6) Click on NEW
7) For the extention add .plist and for the MIME type add application/rss+xml
8) Save and restart server.
I'm pretty sure you have to follow this step in order to get your repo working. Seems like everything else worked fine, it's just that if a browser can't see/understand a plist file, neither can Installer. Try it out and let me know what happens.
now i still have a very small problem which is not that important to me though
i cant seem to get the package icon to show on the iphone ad i'm not sure if this is due to connection or server
so for this time i'll just enjoy and do some testing with the repo
