It should show your carrier logo, and EDGE icon. Just run the quickpwn and follow the steps... Its just fine, this is what both of mine looked like just after the restore before quickpwning it...
Unlock= able to receive a signal from a carrier
Jailbreak= customize it, add 3rd party apps. etc etc

This is very confusing!
I thought QuickPWN will only do the jailbreak ...
But I try it!
The DEV Team should really consider to write better Tutorials how to do it.Last edited by Birke; 08-22-2008 at 12:10 AM.

And yes so long as your phone has been pwned before you only need to put phone in normal restore mode (power off, hold home and plug in) and shift + restore custom firmware that has been built. But no need to do that just quickpwn so you can run on 2.0.2

Again: (lol
)
Your phone was already pwned, so when you updated through itunes, you were still unlocked, just not jailbroken anymore...
unlock = use on any carrier
Jailbreak = ability to customize the phone and add 3rd party apps.
Yes Quickpwn only jailbreaks.
Umm I hope you are using Xp or Vista...... Your profile info says OSX. Quickpwn is only for windows users at this point.Last edited by Muggz5; 08-22-2008 at 12:08 AM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

Thanks Muggz5!
Yes, I am on OSX using VMWare Fusion, because the DEV-Team mentioned in their blog, that VMWare Fusion would work.
Next Problem:
I am in the process after pressing the keys in QuickPWN and the process tells me:
"Congratulations, you have entered succesfully DFU Mode ..."
"Performing Operation 0, 1% done."
... 2-99%
"Performing Operation 0, 100% done."
"Performing Operation 0, 1% done."
... 2-99%
"Performing Operation 0, 100% done."
Here it stops, my iPhone has a black screen and I donīt know what to do now?
It shows only a flashing prompt in the second window but nothing other.

So now I'm confused. I have a jailbroken 2.0.1 3G iPhone. I have to put it in DFU mode and shift+restore to the non-custom 2.0.2 firmware, and then I can use the QuickPwn? Did I get that right?

OK. I unplugged the USB cable and reconnected the iPhone. The process window now showed performing further tasks and rebooted the iPhone.
Now it is unlocked and I can use it with 2.0.2.

Finally figured it out..... Just in case you are reading this and you have the same issues...
Make sure you are using the correct firmware for 2G Iphone....

So I just restored my phone to a stock 2.0.2... When I QuickPwn it I have to select the 2.0.1 firmware? And when I'm finished I'll have a jailbroken 2.0.2 3G? That's what I read other people saying.. Can anyone else confirm?

Another question:
Now I took my other iPhone 2G with 2.0.1, already pwned (unlocked jailbreaked) and connected it to iTunes and clicked alt + restore to update to 2.0.2. After a few seconds iTunes gave me an error 2002 and I only see a white screen on my iPhone.
What it is going wrong?Last edited by Birke; 08-22-2008 at 01:07 AM.

Please help!
I just plugged in my 2G with 2.0.1 already unlocked & jailbreaked in order to upgrade to 2.0.2. But iTunes gave me after a few seconds the error 2002 and the display turns white.
If I try to restore to 2.0.1 it came up with the same problem: Error 2002.
What can I do now? Is it dead?Last edited by Birke; 08-22-2008 at 01:27 AM.

If your phone already has Cydia and Installer installed and everything is working fine, then yes, close the cmd prompt.
When I did mines, i didn't even get that message, the cmd window went through and did its thing and closed out by itself. i just waited for the phone to do its thing.

Alright well, after an hour and a half of messing with this.. maybe someone can help me. I just jailbroke my phone on 2.0.2 and it work without an issue. I synced my old info (contacts, apps, etc..) and it did it, and all my old info is back on my phone. My problem is that now whenever my iPhone is connected to iTunes, it's telling me to "Set up your iPhone"!! I synced it as my old one three times and it keeps saying it! I get reception, 3G, and everything else, but I can't seem to get rid of the "Set up your iPhone" thing. Help!
