^ well i really do hope that they picked up on the lag. 1.1.4 ran amazingly smooth, hopefully they can get 2.x to run as efficient! no doubts.

Quickpwn doesn't need a restore though.

what hes doing is updating to 2.0,2 through itunes, then usingb quickpwn with a 2.0,1 file to jailbrake. Quickpwn pwns your phone while conected to PC so no need to restore. Ive not done this its just as I understand it.

Yep, works fine. I just upgraded to 2.0.2 after initially using quickpwn a few hours ago. It un-jailbroke my phone, then I ran quickpwn again with the 2.0.1 file I downloaded and put in the quickpwn dir (as per directions). Everythings fine with 2.0.2 and Cydia working!

just upgraded my new 3g to 2.0.2 and jailbroke with quickpwn.
Maps located much faster even on wifi
Wifi seems to hold connection better on weak signal
I'm showing 5 bars on3g where I used to only have 2 or 3
Cydia seems to load faster
All apps load faster
Customize and winterboard work!
Infact all apps seen to work
Custom logos work ( they don't show up until the final rebout of the iPhone at the end of the process
No resync needed after upgrade and jailbreak
One caution: if you have any app store apps icons hidden with Poof unhide them before you begin. Otherwise you won't see them afterwards and iTunes will tell you that they are synced. If that does happen, all you need to do is reinstall Poof and unhide them. I had been using Appflow in the absence of Categories. Once I found my apps I reinstalled AppFlow then rehid what I wanted.
My phone is totally customized to how it was. The upgrade and jailbreak only took maybe 15 min.
This is the easiest method since jailbreakme.com. Almost anticlimatic
One final observation. I noticed in the /stash directory where Cydia moves apps and things, I have double directories. I may fool around tomorrow and see what happens if I delete the. "old" directories. At least for the /applications it's obvious

After installation of Winterboard it does seem a little bit slower.
Edit: Winterbaord alone doesn't make it slow, it's the theme that slows it down.

After the headache that 2.x has been, I went back to 1.4. Backing takes only 5 seconds now, and I never have keyboard lag anymore. Plus the phone is super responsive once again. I miss some of the App Store apps, but I'm just glad I got my phone back to normal. Hopefully 2.0.3 will fix the keyboard lag, backup issues, and slowdown of apps.
