anyone else having problems with using a custom boot image? i've tried replacing the 'logo.png' and 'recovery.png' files in the quickpwn folder with my own images and they don't seem to work when i jailbreak the phone. i was successfully able to jailbreak the phone, but whenever i boot up my phone it's just a blank screen before it gets to the springboard. any ideas?

Everything works but does anyone know how to add different boot/restore icons? I figured it would be as simple as replacing the two PNG files with two other PNG files with the same names but no. Any ideas?

Cr@p! I did this too fast and forgot to upgrade to 2.0.1 first. Jailbreak worked, but does anyone know where I might run into trouble?

2.0.1 can't be unlocked yet....

This seems like a dumb question but here goes. I did the whole process of quickpwn and it finished fine. I started with 2G winpwned iphone on 2.0 firmware. My question is that in the Settings-->General-->About am I supposed to see Version 2.0.1 because I am still seeing 2.0 (5A347). The phone works fine but I am not sure what version I am supposed to see.
Also, should I have started with 2.0.1 already on my phone?

Not working for me. Gets to the part with a pinapple and a spinning thing below after that for a while it goes to the DFU thing and says i need to restore. Whats going on?

Works like a charm. One note, it will count down for you before you have to press the on button. Then it really doesn't count the 30 seconds for you, but you will get a note to press a button to continue just about the time the 30 seconds is up. I'm no genuis here folks, this works really well. (3G is what I did).

Well i went ahead and restored to 2.0.1. I was originally on 1.1.4. Whats the best/easiest way to jailbreak my phone now?
08-18-2008, 11:27 PM #96
if you get an error 6 that means you didnt put your phone in dfu mode

Ok i got it.
I restored to 2.0.1
Then used the GUI quickpwn and now have 2.0.1 jailbroke with cydia and installer.

question... If my iPhone is already jail broken and I have my apps on. If I update it will I lose all my apps. Running 1.1.2

im sorry, did you mean 2.0.2, because 2.0.1 certainly can be unlocked, as i am holding the evidence in my hand...

I successfully jailbreak 2.01 2g iPhone and unlock using bootneuter.
Everything seem fine untill I realize my Youtube not activated.
Any way to solve this issue?
