ok i just want to clarify something that i havent seen yet. i have 1.1.4 jailbroken and activated with liberty. after using quick pwn, will my phone be jailbroken and activated? it seems like this is a yes, but i wanted to clarify first before getting stuck. Thanks,

I believe that the dev team is qoated as saying this is only for FW 2.0.1 Other FW will be supported later.

I understand that. I wasn't clear on my intentions. I want to upgrade to 2.0.1 to take advantage of the appstore apps and new functionality. When I go through the process, will this come out already activated?

Are you unlocked as well? If you are already activated with ATT then you don't want it to activate for you. iTunes will do that. Like with past pwnage tools you needed to uncheck "activate" or you would be left with no signal.

maybe im cofused here, sorry for my ignorance. i didnt activate with ATT because i love my current plan and didnt want to extend/sign a new contract. i still dont want to activate with ATT. as far as i can tell, this tool doesnt work like the winpwn tool where you check or uncheck jailbreak or activate. my question is if i drop the 2.0.1 fw into the tool, will this upgrade me to 2.0.1 from 1.1.4 and keep my contacts, pictures, etc. will i need to activate some other way or will it just keep it jailbroken/activated like it is now? i havent pwned this phone at all.

So I ran it once, no problems. In the 'About' screen, i see 2.0 firmware is displayed. Ran a second time and 2.0 is still listed as firmware -- is this correct? I was running it from a jailbroken iphone 2g on the 2.0 firmware. thx

Worked great! My wifes 2G is now jailbroken. I'll jailbreak my 3G tomorrow after I pick it up.

Meaning... If i had applications on there... they would not be affected (removed or deleted).. but just jailbreaks and adds cydia to the current firmware on the phone?

with winpwn i had to restore my iphone for 10 times, i don't say it's useless, but it isn't soo easy and "one click hack"

Can anybody help me answer this without name calling about Ziphone? I would love to be running 2.0.1 on ATT without activating through Itunes. As I've stated, I've never pwned my phone and only used liberty to jailbreak/activate to 1.1.4. Please give me any productive input you may have. Thanks,

You first upgrade it via itunes to 2.0.1, this way your personal stuff sticks, then you run quickpwn.

Thanks 461am. So why the need to download 2.0.1 and "drop" it into the same folder as the exe for qckpwn? I just want to make sure that when I use qckpwn I will be activated without using Itunes to activate it. Thanks again, and sorry for the ignorance.

Does anyone else feel that all these ppl new to jail breaking missed out on the jail breaking of say1.1.2 lol That took oh i dont know like 45 mins and now to go to this it is lovely.
