Well It worked for me. I have tried other methods and now this Pwn worked. I have Windows XP Pro SP3.
I downloaded the quikpwn. Extracted to a folder. I read the readme file.
I connected the iphone to computer. iTunes OFF I have a first gen iPhone so I downloaded the 1.0.2 firmware from iClarified - iPhone - Where To Download iPhone Firmware Files From
I closed all programs. I disable virus software. I placed the downloaded 1.0.2 firware in the extracted folder.
I double clicked on the 2 gen .bat to start.
Followed instructions on screen. It a bit tricky following the instruction for holding the power button then the home button. But do your best.
Then i said yes to continue and it says your phone is being jailbroken. Pineapple on screen. Wait till its finished completely and your home screen returns.
Everything seems to be working so far.
Chris
Update - first time you open Cydia it does a reorganization. I installed winterboard ...then openSSH...then Customize and Boss Preferences and Poof that need to be present for Boss Pref.
Installer does not seem to be added yet. But with openSSH you should be able to download installer and add it by SSHing it in. I will keep you posted on what i do.Last edited by chriscoyne; 08-18-2008 at 01:15 PM. Reason: Update

08-18-2008, 12:24 PM #35It's faster and doesn't require a restore. You can still modify the boot and restore image as well.
