New Apple Update for iPhone - v1.0.2

Please send me the address to download the full restore, because I have a lot problems with the update, I was today in the Apple store to used this full restore update, I want too have in my possession, after I used the program iFuntastic to create my own ring tones.

ok so i got a jailbroken phone wit just a theme and some ringers on it. after a few shaky moments i got the phone restored and itunes wanted it activated.

itunes thanfully resotred everything except photos, and for some reason i needed to reset the password on my voicemail.

guess ill be jailbreakin again soon

Anyway, regarding the new update, I just noticed that in the custom greeting voicemail they added the "play" and "record" button, or was that there all along?!

So my question: If the phone is jailed (i always re-jail it after modding) and I run the update, is it going to wipe my FSO icons and custom strings? There are no APPS installed, so what exactly determines whether restore is required vs update?

currently, it's looking like all (modded) phones are mandating the full restore, in which case you will lose everything that you have done and end up with a naked, stripped down, whimpering stock iphone. I don't know anyone who has an unmodded iphone (i couldnt let someone _not_ mod their phone) so we're going to have to look to the lamers in the apple forums for someone who is in that situation...

There is no true backup for the iphone, only what the iTunes based backup does. So all the hacks/mods you did, you will have to redo them manually, sorry thats how its going to be everytime Apple puts out a new firmware since jailbreak breaks the validation of it.

You can still sync your iPhone to iTunes without doing the update, you DONT HAVE to udate the phone, just hit the dont ask me again and hit cancel when the update message appears it will not ask you again until you manually as for check for update.

Did the update and was able to restore everything like before the update. It even restored my sms which it has never done before. Cool. Also before restoring I did a backup and also turned of the automatic update off and checked only update checked items. At first when I did the update it wouldn't restore all the information and was left with a fresh new phone with nothing but factory stuff. Then I had to do the restore again and bamm back to the way I had it before updating. I also noticed the restore was much quicker this time then in the past or maybe I was half asleep and this time I was fully awake. But anyway now I need to put back all the cool apps and roms.

after I installed the 1.0.2 update the Send To Web Gallery button disappeared...has anyone else ran into this problem?

i just did the update, i re jailbreaked my phone, it worked out fine, did all my mods again, works fine. something new i noticed is when you send an e-mail it has a status bar showing you the progress in sending the e-mail.

Just finished this horror story. Failed to update at first, duh, full restore. Kept all my contacts, SMS, blah blah blah. Jailbreak again and I have all my stuff back, not that I had a lot but it took some time. Haven't noticed any differences really, ringer may be slightly louder or I just may be tired.

damn im screwed now. i tried doing the jailbreak after i replaced the old firmware files with the new 1.02 restore files and it doesnt let me jailbreak

was i supposed to leave the folder as it was with the original files i had in the phonedmg folder?? shyt this stock look is making me gag

same thing is happening to me.i put the 1.0.2 firmware extracted in phonedmg, and now when i try to jailbreak it wont work.

when jail asks to hold power and home until "connect to itunes" the iphone says connect to itunes and then immediately restarts it doesnt stay on the prompt long enough to jailbreak!!! wtf!!!

this sucks!!!

Mine jailbroke (jailbreaked) just fine after the update, but the reboot of the iPhone took quite a bit longer. I thought it had frozen at first, but I left it alone and it finally booted up.

not mine....when i tried to jailbreak, my phone immediately restarted (showed the apple logo).
