i'm on vista and mine worked perfectly... i followed a guide that i found on winpwn.com, its the second tutorial guide, try following it exactly and you should be good

well i got white screen again didint install cyndia or installer hopeing to get my phone to work b4 i pwn again its still at the same point at b4 prepraring phone software for restore hopefully when its restoreing it dosent give me evil number 6 for the 3rd time trying to install in DFU mode

I got the error 6 problem too, itunes said i was in dfu mode and prompted me to restore and my screen was black, i got the error 6 and then the screen turned white, so i tried again and got the apple screen with the spinning wheel at the bottom, but now its been a good 10 minutes with no progress in the "preparing iphone software for restore" box. i am going to let it go for a long time but it looks like it is stuck, anyone else know how long it should take? thanks

have tried a third time and it is stuck on the "preparing iphone software for restore" process, any suggestions?

i know my phone is in DFU mode i know it is i get the White screen Every time, Screen is Black iTunes picks it up did its lil scan or w.e it did then poped up saying need to be restored but Every custom fw i use i get eror 6 Even if i use Non custom FW

when I continued to get the dreaded error 6.. I restored the phone with the stock 2.0.1 firmware from apple.. then I did a new winpwn on the file.. then made sure I was in dfu mode.. I was.. saw the installation bubbles in task manager.. installed the custom firmware.. and it worked..

I just restored to my normal 2.0.1

Once this all gets figured out and working (with service) I'll do this again.

give it some time, sometimes it takes quite a while

Something else I noticed now I'm on 2.0.1 . When I'm syncing the screen doesn't lock, it doesn't even give the "sync in progress" message and I can fully use the phone. When I open ipod I get the usual layout but there it says "sync in progress" in the top of the screen and cancel synchronisation in the bottom.

Everything is working fine, all the apps (ofcourse except the cydia ones) restored and I can make calls.

I'm on ATT and mine just asked me to set up an iPhone plan. Already had one since Sept. The Winpwn worked great and i'm syncing now. Figure I'll sort out any billing issues later if there are any.

I have a question what does the Root partition resize do in winpwn 2.4 I have no idea what it does and if I change it from the stock setting will it be better for the Iphone? any info on how to use this setting or when to use it will be very helpful thanks

Seems to only work when I have Installer unchecked, otherwise I get Error (6)

Same here, does it during youtube activation.tar and then kaput...gone.

I'll wait until the program is bug free...no hurry at this point...still a great program IMHO...
