Worked for me on Vista Ultimate (XP compatibility mode) with my 1st gen. iPhone.
I had to exclude installer, though. It would crash while creating the firmware otherwise.
Nice work... looking forward for the new Installer 4.Last edited by nico_swd; 08-09-2008 at 05:20 PM.

Once you have put your phine into the DFU mode hold the "shift" button and click on "restore" in itunes then choose the custom firmware file that you created

LOL man a lot of people experience errors. Do you guys even read up on it before doing it? Or you just assume that everything will do itself for you?
I have to admit I like reading News here, but man it gets annoying as hell when about 90% of the posts in these threads are all the same. Error this, error that, what is DFU?
I always read up on what to do and never have a problem because it's DONE RIGHT. EDUCATE YOURSELVES BEFORE SCREWING WITH YOUR IPHONE!!
