Hi

i just have a couple of questions.

I Pwned my 2g iphone 16gb on vista 32 on 2003 to firmware 2.0. I have purchased a few items on apps store too.

If i pwn the new 2.0.1 firmware do i have to completely uninstall and reinstall itunes and winpwn?

Secondly i know you can't do a simple back up after updating, how do i get my purchased apps back?

When you sync with iTunes, all of your purchased apps will be restored.

Thanks for the reply, a few months ago i had to format my pc but it wouldnt let me sync my purchases music etc then, i lost it all.

Should i make a back up of the folder where the apps files are kept etc?

downloaded winpwn 2.0.0.4 and i am trying to create custom fw for 2.0.1 - 2G , by default the root folder size on settings is 500 mb , but with that option it crashes when it tries to build it in the fw however if i change the root partition size to 600 or 700 it makes the fw without any problem , i tried many times on 2 different computers same result 500 mb root folder crashes the winpwn after the adding youtube activator fix and tries to change the root to 500

Thats the same error i'm getting....i wonder what the deal is......well, they'll fix it soon enough....in the mean time i'll stick with 2.0

what if the apps you bought were bought on your phone?I can transfer some of the apps, but not all show in the apps icon in iTunes. If I make a back-up will they be restored? Or since I bought them once can I re-down load?

Also I have not been home yet to DL .4 what's up with all the options? Same as before right, they just added installer? Are the boot imgs still their? Sorry for the questions, I'm at my friends looking at Mmi on my iPhone, wondering what people have bumped in to.

also anyone running xp pro with sp3? I'm on sp2, won't upgrade! LOL it's just a spair testing unit for the phone, ssh and that stuff. Main machine runs vista ultimate but was having problems with .2 so I just built another machine.

Any t-mo users hit the set up with out the you tube fix and still work?

oh, installer and cydia can both be installed? If we don't install now will we have to re-pwn our phone to get it their? Thanks!

Successfully created a new IPSW with only Cydia checked. Winpwn kept crashing if I had Installer selected as well. You are not the only ones.

Edit: Changed partition from 500mb to 1000mb and checking Installer too worked.

Anyway its free and the earlier version worked like a charm....Im just waiting for the fix

Update: YES if you unchek Installer the iPSW Builder works

If you guys can't restore then either iTunes isn't pwned or your in restore mode not DFU. To get into DFU (if not stuck in restore):

1. Turn on device
2. Hold power + home until you hear the first disconnect sound from your pc
3. Let go of power and continue holding home until you hear yet another sound from your pc, at that point release the home button

(Power + Home .. Sound .. Home .. Sound .. None)

If the screen is black then your in DFU and error 6 should be fixed.

Hopefully this helps someone.

I can't seem to be able to open the program after installation. It kept giving me a pop up saying something along "Application Error" anyone facing this problem? I'm running Windows XP atm.

How do i do this with my 3g Phone?

i used to have a touch but i gave it up for a 3G iphone

its under rogers.. I dont want 2 unlock all i want is jailbreak

do i need to take out the sim card?
