PwnageTool 2.0.2 Available
PwnageTool 2.0.2 is available through the update system of PwnageTool 2.0.1. To update run PwnageTool, then click on the PwnageTool taskbar and select Check for Updates.
As previously mentioned whats new in this release of PwnageTool is the ability to jailbreak and unlock firmware version 2.0.1 for the 1st generation iPhone, jailbreak 2.0.1 for the 3g iPhone, Cydia updates, and Installer 4.
You can grab the 2.0.1 firmware files here.
You can grab a direct download for PwnageTool stevenlu.com, forty2blog.de, or zippyshare.
PwnageTool's usage shouldn't be drastically different from the previous version. Our two pwnage guides work fine -- just make sure to download firmware version 2.0.1 instead of firmware 2.0 which is used in the guides.

I have a jailboken 2.0 using winpwn and I also hve the installer beta will it atomatically update to the regulR installer or do I have to re pwn to get installer

It works, but Installer is super buggy. If you install the bigboss source and open Categories, you get a repeating pop up that says "Error file doesnt exist" - even when clicking OK it comes back - Installer is unusable for me. Anyone else have this issue?

Just a friendly reminder as stated on the iPhone dev teams blog, installer is always installed as part of the package in custom firmwares, even though it says it is currently unsupported when you click on installer.
Also, if you were ancy and upgraded to 2.0.1 before Pwnage Tool was ready, you can jailbreak directly from 2.0.1.
So far, everything is working fine and dandy for me. Installer has like, 2 applications on it at the moment, but the interface is nice. Also, all native and original stock applications are working properly for me. I am an AT&T customer.

Question, the custom firmware from the macs can work for us people on PC?

How do I put the phone in DFU mode?
When I press the home and pwr button the phone turns off, letting go pwr and holding home alone does not do anything.
Can I in iTunes with option-restore choose the custom IPSW without DFU mode?
