What? Home page versus forums should have absolutely no difference...

It wouldn't make a difference had the apple-touch-icon.png been placed at the root directory http://modmyi.com instead of at http://modmyi.com/forums!

Create a WebClip Bookmark Icon
iPhone and iPod touch allow a user to save a WebClip bookmark to your site on their Home Screen.

Safari will automatically composite the icon with the standard "glassy" overlay so it looks like a built-in iPhone or iPod application.

It IS in the root section as well. Always was. You just won't see it if you browse to it, cause of our hotlinking protection. That shouldn't affect the icon for Safari though.

Doesn't work for me after several tries. It only works if I use modmyi.com/forums.

BTW:
Does anyone know the location of the webclip info on the phone? I'd like to see if I can manually change some url's and keep the icon. TIA

what am i doing wrong? its not working. whenever i type in www.modmyi.com it puts a bunch of letters after it. when i try to add the icon it just adds what it sees and not that cool icon. whats the deal?

It does work for any other page. Just not the home page (which most people like to open first). It'd be nice for it to work from there, too!
