if not just use search and put in *.ispw and change the advance settings to search hidden files and folders

I just did the update and finished fooling with the phone and what I can tell you is that the keyboard is a LOT less laggy. And going into applications is a bit faster or someone stated "snappier." lol...

But it's definitely quicker for the keyboard and it's a good update for those people who get pissed off with the laggy-ness. Maybe they remedied the possible memory leak in this release!

If my 3g iphone is jailbroken with Winpwn, can i just hit update in itunes and it work? Or do I need to restore to an apple 2.0.0 firmware first, then restore to 2.0.1? Theres not enough jailbroken stuff on my iphone to worry bout losing it. I think the bug fixes are worth the upgrade right now. Then ill wait for Winpwn with Installer4.

error 6 means that something didn't pwn right. Keep rebuilding the ipsw And it will eventually work. When I had that happen I kept rebuilding and pwning iTunes and it worked eventually. I didn't even have to get my iPod out of dry mode.

I was just beginning to really love the customization on 2.0 with Winterboard, Intelliscreen, MxTube, etc...

Will all 2.0 apps work with 2.0.1 once it gets jailbroken?

With minor fixes is it even worth upgrading?

Oh great, just when I was about to decide to get a 3G now with Winterboard and Customize. I dont want to have to go through the wait at Apple so I was going to just order form ATT. I'd probably get one with the new firmware. Guess i'll just upgrade my 2G to 2.0 in the meantime.

If you are on 2.0 and happy with your set-up do not waste your time, you will spend more time rebuilding and organizing then enjoying the benefits of the update.

Basically, Apple doesn't care anymore if people jailbreak/unlock first gen iphones. 2.0.1 will be easily pwnable just have to wait a day or two for the devteam to release a new version. What'll be fun is the inevitable barrage of posts saying "how come it doesn't work on windows..." My guess is that winpwn will be updated as soon as pwnage tool is released.

Clearly an updated winpwn will be released in the coming days that jailbreaks 2.0.1 but the above post brings up a great point...is there any app or procedure for doing a complete jailbreak 2.0 backup? So one doesnt have to reconstruct winterboard and customize settings, all apps, etc, etc. Does anyone know if the iTunes "backup" keeps an image of device or just what Apple thinks it needs to remember?

Well, I have also noticed this, the new update breaks all the apps in appstore. eBay, PayPal, VoiceNotes,MobileNews and Palringo doesnt work anymore. They just open then close again. Anyone else having this problem or just me?


FOUND OUT: You have to re-install them. Good grief! What a nightmare.
