Yeah, Pwnage and WinPwn will have to update their software to support the new firmware, maybe also coming with the new version, installer 4 support?

I tried to use PwnageTool to build a custom firmware and it did not let me it said wrong firmware bundle selected

someone who is brave enough or rich enough should upgrade with a pwned iPhone and see what happens! yeh, do it someone. It will be so enjoying if they have to come out with a new PWNage tool, the 3G unlock will just be delayed even more! I wish apple wouldn't ask for a slice of contract money so other networks would be interested! that's why vodafone didn't adopt the iPhone, they asked for too much money after the actual sal of the iPhone, so they scammed O2 instead!

My basic understanding at the 3rd grade level I'm at... says that iPhone dev team hacked so low into the phones that Apple would have to completely change the actual internal hardware to keep them out of it. But hey, I don't know much about things....

Yeah, they won't change around the framework, i'd think.

That's kind of what they did with the iPhone 3G, ya know, how they can't unlock it yet.

I'm upgrading mine right now though, since i wasn't jailbroken on 2.0 anyways, because i'm waiting for installer to be implemented in a future release of pwnage so i don't have to SSH it in.

I am upgrading my 3G at the moment. I'll let you know if there is anything major on any of the screens.

edit. All i know is that I am downloading 249.2 MB file so it is bigger than the original 2.0 firmware file.

Hopefully they wait and don't make a new Pwnage/Winpwn for the new firmware until Installer is out so we get it AND Cydia. I'm really hoping they get the categories.app ported soon. I hate having a cluttered screen!!

How big was the 2.0 firmware again?

upgraded 1st gen pwned iphone! cant pwn it but it works and still has pwned files on it although it is not pwned or able to access cydia apps!!!!!!! i would wait for new pwnage tools

Ohhhhhh, i just found something, some apps (for me its FiatLux, FlipBook and Shazam) there are settings for the apps in the actual settings app that comes with the iPhone.

i'll put up a pic in a second.
