omg u r the stupid person i have ever seen on a forum. Let me guess you are stupid liberal!! Windows works perfectly. The reason why you can't run stupid OS X on an aawesome Pc is cuz Apple won't allow it. Let's think for a second what would happen if you coudl run OS X on a PC? APPLE WOULD LOSE MILLIONS UPON MILLIONS OF DOLLARS
because PC hardware is so varied and cheap ur 2000 dollar mac book would be 1000 dollars more expensive than a pc version.. if you want to spend 1000 dollars on aesthetics have fun. it just proves the point you're a stupid liberal

First off, you can run mac os x on a PC, just like you can run windows on an apple machine. Against the EULA (End User License Agreement for all those "stupid liberals" out there)? yes, but it can be done.
And second off, what exactly makes someone a stupid liberal? Anyone who has an opinion other than your ignorant *****?
But you are right about one thing, PC's are varied, and they are CHEAP.
Thank you for your contribution. If I helped you out in any way, hit the Thanks Button.
iPhone? More like TyPhone

wow, did you just learn the word liberal, today?
cause you use it like a kid with a crayon.
not sure how it works but like the way it looks all over ur screen!
and aesthetics has nothing to do with the benefits of a mac.
the OS is simply better.
a 2.0 ghz intel will run smoother and faster in mac than it ever would on a PC.
because the programming and coding is superior.
you wouldnt know that tho.
because you obviously are another one of those people that has always had a PC and probably has no idea how to even turn on a mac!
but yet you want to tell us what the real truth about a mac is?????
dont be gealous because you are poor, or stupid, or a liberal.
love your PC like you love your mommy, defend her till death! lol
but keep your two cents to yourself if it is nothing more than an insult.
insults get you banned from this site, just ask Cash.
BTW, Cash, where is his infraction for insulting a member???
i know i got one!! lol
OSX running XP,
does not need a cracked or hacked version of XP, XP runs WAY smoother in OSX than it ever could standalone, and you get the best of both worlds with full support and upgradability.
you tell me who is more controlling.

spoken just like a closedminded conservative. The only adjective he can use is "stupid"
The definition of liberal is one who can see all facets of an issue and change when information changes. A conservative to oversimplify, is really someone who is averse to change. Because of an unwillingness to change, the typicsl redponse is to not even consider opposing viewpoints Most folks fall somewhere in the middle depending upon the issue.
I have great admiration for many people with opposing beliefs provided their reasoning is well thought out. We all live in different circumstances and have different exposures. What I cannot tolerate is a person who can only call the opposing viewpoint names. That to me means that person. Is only parroting what someone else said and that they are incapable of forming an intelligent opinion of their own.

I want to thank you all for helping make up my mind about going to buy a Mac. Ive owned/rebuilt and used PC since I was a little guy. Im 27 now and always have been just a user, I dont use computers directly for work, they help but not required. My wife and I have really started digging into Photoshop CS3, and video editing with various softwares and really have always fought an uphill battle in regards to resources, proccessing speeds, etc etc. It seems no matter the dual-core proccessor or massive GB of RAM, its never good enough to multi task and run these programs. We really have been looking hard at Mac the past 8 months, so I decided to get into a discussion with a very close minded highly windows certified brother in-law whom absolutely will not open his mind to Mac. Its the same arguement as stated in that guys' videos shown on here, and I about spit coffee through my nose when he was laughing/marvelling about PC Heads saying they hate OS10 but like Linux. Thats the same thing he said!!!! Then came the "security" arguement, which Im still not sure about. He believes Mac has severe security issues, yet Im not seeing that. At the end of the day, Im sold on Apple and their quality and I still believe the $3000 we are about to spend is going to be well worth it. Ill still have my 2 other PC's which run XP Pro and Vista 64. So we will see how this shakes out. Each PC I own now is a dual core with at least 2GB of RAM and I really am excited to see the difference.

everyone i know that has changed from PC to mac (lots) can only say good things about it.
hardly ever have to do a restart.
way smoother, less hangs and crashes.
graphics are untouchable.
run program and visual effects on an 800mhz processor that would crash some of the newer dual core PC's.
its all about envy
misery loves company and people that cant afford macs have to do whatever they can to make themselves feel better.
enjoy your mac.

Hehehe Thanks TattooJack. Your posts are always amusing. We are headed to the Apple store Sunday and we are getting an iMac 24 inch 3.06GHz Intel Core 2 Duo 4 GB 800MHz DDR2 SDRAM - 2x2 GB 500GB Serial ATA Drive NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GS w/512MB GDDR3 I was really looking hard at the Mac Pro. For a few more dollars get quite more power. But, in the grand scheme this is all we really need. I cant wait to start digging in to a whole new world of computing. Im completely stoked. Now I get to unlearn quite a bit, thats the real fun part.
Oh and btw, Im not a liberal. Im quite conservative on most issues, but close-minded that I surely am not. And its disgusting for people to assume and/or label someone a "stupid liberal" for no real reason other than lack of quick wits and nothing intelligent to say. (this however is a bit typical of liberals not conservatives. I wonder if these labelers (fake conservatives) really understand what they believe in besides guns and pickup trucks.)

wow, how did the post discussion about Apple and how At&t is sticking it up to everyones behind with the contract, turned into a political debate?
Did you guys know this:
If you decide to cancel your contract after you purchased your iPhone for $199 or $299 , ATT will charge you $175 for early termination fee which will take effect only when you return your phone to the Apple store for a
-10%"restocking Fee". Then you will be allowed to pay $175 and terminate your contract.
Am i buying the phone or leasing it???
In the open market economy , in the USA , you are not allowed to buy this product unless you agree to a contract with ATT.
When i called Apple and asked how is this legal here is what they said:
" you have to return the phone if you want to cancel BECAUSE THIS IS THE LAW" LOL
then i asked : "who's law? ATT" The answer was eye opening.
"listen sir, we don't know we just want to sell the phones"
If you want to keep it political i have one word for you all:
Steve Jobs Should have had a HUGE * next to the price of $199.

Ha!! I believe there is/was a "law" that in most states AT&T or any other service provider can't actually make you honor a contract or when breaking service "early" charge a fee. Ill have to do more research but im sure its makes for a good discussion. Im sure they bank on the fact you wouldnt pay fees to attorneys to fight it, because its cheaper to pay it instead.

THANK YOU! thats awesome, at least EVERYONE is not taking me so seriously.
and for the mac pro, i think what you got is gonna be MORE than enough for your needs. you will suprised. it seems like mac can do things on a 1.oghz that vista struggles with on a 2.0 dualcore.
that dual 3.06 is gonna be slammin!
about the trucks n guns,
i totally agree but if i state my opinion it just ends in me getting an infraction from cash or poseiden, i get angry to easy over these idiots.
and you are absolutley right. its only certain states tho, and the law could have changed before you started a contract. CHECK FIRST!
