SDK apps + 1.1.3 = a winning pair
Natetrue has posted information regarding the 1.1.3 firmware workings, and it looks like 1.1.3 is ready for SDK apps.
The main points he lists are:
- Application data is now stored in /var/mobile instead of /var/root
- Applications are now running as user mobile, not root
- SpringBoard no longer requires SummberBoard for scrolling pages
In other words, 1.1.3 is already for SDK apps to be installed, although the SDK is not out yet, nor are SDK apps.

Yeah I just saw this over on his blog. Too bad it broke most of his apps, although he said Lights Out still works.
This means a lot of work for some developers...

So does this mean that their will NOT be a FW 1.1.4 before the SDK?
if yes, then The Dev team can release the tutorial for jailbreaking 1.1.3!
is this right? or am i missing something?

Well, the dev team is trying to be safe, just in case. There most likely will not be a 1.1.4 before the SDK release though.

Yeah i think Apple has to put a lot of people aside just to block us, i mean their is no reason for 1.1.4 (considering the SDK) it would just re-lock it once again, for us hackers

well, wouldn't you guys want to wait anyways for the SDK to be released, then not only will we have jailbroken phones with custom apps but we'll have apps which function better and should be more compatible with our phones, less glitchting, sure some apps are probably as good as they can be but maybe they don't work as well with 1.1.3. anyways, i think its a good idea to wait...

Question... if the phone is upgraded to 1.1.3 and jailbroken will the phone pull apps from BOTH the Mobile directory AND the root directory (which is where Installer puts things)? Or will installer have to be modified to lump everything in the new place?...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought the whole point of waiting 'til the SDK comes out is so that even if Apple does release a 1.1.4 update with the SDK they won't be able to fix the unlock method because they won't know how it was done.

hey everyone
lets take a minute to look at our selfs
we have iphones
we are better than every other living thing because we have iphones.
and we can even make the iphone do whatever we want it to.
so whenever you see someone walking downt the street talking on their Razr or the new sidekick, make sure to stop them and say "hey i have an iphone. look at it and how much better i am than you. worship me" and then take out your iphone and tease them untill they cry because they can never be as cool as you
have a nice day everyone and remember you are way better than everyone else

Well this means that the developers have even more work cut out for them....and I assume more of them will expect to be paid now for that extra work they have to do, possibly.
Bagfoot you odd person...wtf...I hope you haven't spammed that message all over the place...
