iTunes 7.7.1 is available now via Software Update.

Seems like there's no major changes.

Use iTunes 7.7 to sync music, video, and more with iPhone 3G, and download applications from the iTunes Store exclusively designed for iPhone and iPod touch with software version 2.0 or later. Also use the new Remote application for iPhone or iPod touch to control iTunes playback from anywhere in your home — a free download from the App Store.

I got a very big problem when I upgraded my iTunes 7.7.1 I cannot use now my iPhone. It cannot recognize by this new iTunes as well as the old one from my other computer. Can you help me solving this problem?

Before someone can help you need to be a bit more specific. What computer? What operating system? Which version? Is there an error message?

I wonder if apple is using iTunes to suppliment the next patch. Seems like a good way to check for phone for homebrew code is to use the program that it syncs with.

Is anyone with jailbroken phones having any probs with this update? I'm not seeing enough to take the risk imho. Does anyone have a homebrew program that can take the place of itunes for the purpose of sync functions?

People, if you are going to report stuff like this be more specific. Simply saying it works or doesn't work without some sort of context really doesn't help anybody.

i use the .ipa method... i'm quite sure that the .app method works fine

ipa did not work for me anymore... stayed a lot of time to "sync" my apps to the phone but the "other" used space did not go up at all... and after it was "done" it told me 48 apps did not go in because i'm not authorised to have them on my phone... i looked on the phone.. only my legit ones were there
