Now that the jailbreak has been achieved. Would someone from the DEVTEAM post the Maps and the MobileSafari apps so we can use them on our 1.1.2 ipods/iphones. Isnt that the biggest part of the upgrade anyways?

they are still selling 1.1.2 phones, my friend bought one today

and that's great news about 1.1.3!!! hopefully by the time they release it they will have come out with a sim unlock for it so i can use it!

I don't think they'll push back the SDK. Come on... a 299 dollar portable 8 gig music player, frankly isn't that attractive sounding. A 299 dollar portable miniture computer/media center/server/hacking tool... OMG SO F-ING AWESOME! The hacking is only increasing the demand for the ipod touch, which means more sales to them, which means more profits.

I do not disagree with the dev team's decision to hold back until the SDK is released though. Generally, the release of SDKs would give developers more tools to work with, thereby generating better apps. If they release the firmware prematurely, and then apple decides to update the firmware to 1.4 AND THEN release the SDK, the dev team is going to have to hack the iPhone/iPoT all over again, before the SDK can be fully taken advantage of. Not to mention all the loop holes and backdoors they once took advantage of might've been patched after the update, which means more time required to jail break it again.

I guess we all would just have to wait, anxiously...

Can someone post the Maps/MobileSafari apps for 1.1.3 somewhere so we can install them on our 1.1.2 - this is the only highlight of the update other than rearranging your icons which we can do already. HELP... SOMEONE POST THEM PLEASE!!! Im going through withdrawals.

SOOOO i dont remeber the source (seriously forgive me on this one i have TOO MANY) but its called "Locate Me". I have the blaze company add on sources and the other source add ons NOT THE NON ENGLISH ONES ie chinese russian ihebrew that type. but its definatley there. ALSO my step dad is a program engineer for cysco sytems and thusly has random ***** conectioins. Apple already has the sdk "beta type thing" they ALMOST constantly are looking for bugs in every one of the products they sell and they are a large corperation so the second that the profits they projected to make are hindered by hacking rest asured thats that...rember operating sytems when they first came out....well guess what they can make a whole new one and then NO ONE will know wtf is going on chances of this are slim but if profits are affected anything goes so in repose....dev team if it works 100% let it out the sdk is a buisness concept (hence no solid dates) if apple wants they can seal the programing and as a side noteto everyone HAVE FUN WITH LIFE and dont feind for iphone hacks

hey everyone i'm new on here... i tried to update my phone to do the whole mod it out and it didn't work... is that because of the fact that the version thing says 1.1.3 (4A93) i know it sounds stupid but i spent like all night trying to figure this out and i just want like a few different things on my phone. if i have to restore my phone i will but then how do i keep my contacts (all 275 of them) please help me out anyone thank you!!!!!

It's way more difficult than just sticking it up on a torrent site. Some of the new features of the 1.1.3 apps will only run with the new framework in 1.1.3. The devs are currently working on porting these apps into 1.1.2.
