WinPwn 2.0 Released

cmw has released WinPwn 2.0 - you can now jailbreak your 2.0 iPhone/iPod Touch/iPhone 3G in Windows easily.

The WinPwn site is up and down with the intense traffic, but here's the post, in case you can't get it to load...

WinPwn 2.0

- Support for both 1.1.4 and 2.0

- Custom Image Support

- Custom Payload Support

- 3g iPhone support

2.0 How to:

- 1) First create a custom IPSW using the IPSW Builder.

- 2) Click "Ipwner" and browse for the custom IPSW that you just created. This will pwn itunes and allow you to flash
Custom IPSW files via DFU mode

- 3) Once you have pwned Itunes, put your phone into DFU mode. If you don't know how to do this click
Here.

- 4) Once you are in DFU mode Itunes will pop up and then you can hold shift and click restore and browse to your custom IPSW file.

Done!
Important Notes
Remove Winpwn 1.0 completely if you have it installed. Installing over the top of WinPwn 1.0 will cause problems.
Make sure you have the latest version of iTunes ( Currently 7.7)
If you already have service with AT&T do not activate or install Youtube Fix

Also, cmw says there seems to be issue with Cydia on some XP machines, and he will be releasing a fix tomorrow.

Hell yeah finally i can pawn with a boot image i choose not whatever the download had.

Here's a guide:

1.) Browse .ipsw first (add 2.0 firmware)
2.) Click ispw builder
a.) Check Cydia / Youtube activation
b.) Add custom images if you have them
c.) I don't know about payloads
d.) Check what you want
Active phone
Wipe everything
Baseband Updater
Neuter Bootloader
Downgrade 3.9
Unlock
Auto delete
e.) Add bootloaders from Here: Bootloaders

3.) Click build ispw
4.) Whe thats finished click iPwner
5.) Enter DFU mode, Here's how [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fiTcKMZfyfk"]Entering DFU Mode[/ame]
6.) Restore new custom firmware in iTunes by holding shift and clicking restore

okay, uninstalled winpwn 1.0.

my xp machine: trying to build on the 3g firmware with cydia checked, activate not checked, youtube not checked. i can't get it to build with and without custom boot images.

Can anyone please tell me if customize, summerboard, poof, and dock are 2.0 compatible? I luv that combination on my iPhone! Oh and can't forget about video recorder and swirly mms! If someone could plz check cydia for me I'd appreciate it

nope...none of those apps are there yet...make it mine is loll...also bossprefs is there (poof is a part of this app now)...plus few other sliders and stuff

Guys, can any of you who have successfully done this post detailed steps on how to proceed?

I have 1st Gen 1.1.4 and want to go to 2.0 unlocked/jailbroken. I'm downloading the 2.0 firmware as we speak, but what to do next in WinPwn?

the only one I am aware of that is ported to 2.0 and in cydia is poof.
