Yeah, I have pwned iTunes (winpwn tells me so).

And my iTunes is running 7.7.

look downgrade your itunes to 7.5 then load the custom restore.ipsw works like a charm

then you can re upgrade to 7.7 if you have a 3g
you dont need to though

My first two options are ok, but hten EVERYTHING ELSE is grayed out... Do you have any idea why?

1.) Browse .ipsw first (add 2.0 firmware)
2.) Click ispw builder
a.) Check Cydia / Youtube activation
b.) Add custom images if you have them
c.) I don't know about payloads
d.) Check what you want
Active phone
Wipe everything
Baseband Updater
Neuter Bootloader
Downgrade 3.9
Unlock
Auto delete
e.) Add bootloaders from Here: Bootloaders

3.) Click build ispw
4.) Whe thats finished click iPwner
5.) Enter DFU mode, Here's how [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fiTcKMZfyfk"]Entering DFU Mode[/ame]
6.) Restore new custom firmware in iTunes by holding shift and clicking restore

cmw has released winpwn 2.0 - you can now jailbreak your 2.0 iphone/ipod touch/iphone 3g in windows easily.

restart your computer and when you have your iPhone plugged into the computer make sure it is on and hold the power and home button for 10 seconds exact and let go the power button and keep holding the home button until itunes detect your phone in DFU mode. Phone should show black screen, NOT THE CONNECT TO ITUNES ON THE SCREEN.
then hold shift presss restore to your custom ISPW

JK1234: You mean downgrade to Itunes 7.5 after I've pwned it or before. I'm kind of sketchy about it because winpwn.com specifically says it's important to be running 7.7. are you SURE this worked for you (you got 1601 error also)?

Well Ive been running 2.0 on my 1G iphone for 2 days now using windows xp and it was ALOT simpler than winpwn, no offence to the creators but why was everyone waiting for this when there is another way? Go to the unlock forums and read the thread for unlocking 2.0 in windows, its all right there.

Not doing this update but I have in the past and restarting my computer did the trick and I was using windows Vista.

yes on all three of my phones. It should work for you too.

Find the 2.0 Firmware for your phone the 3g has a slightly different one so make sure you get the right one, there are mirrors to download them a few posts above this one.

Downgrade your itunes to 7.5 by uninstalling 7.7 then delete the ituneslibrary.itl file in your computer then install 7.5

Then after you set up itunes make a custom ipsw using winpwn making sure you have the right ipsw if you have the 3g use the 3g ipsw.

I cant seem to get custom images loaded other than the default ones(colorful pwned apple logo)

Then make SURE your phone is in dfu mode I hope you know how to do that count to ten exactly. and restore the custom firmware.

Im not sure if you need to have a previously pwned iPhone I did.

Just click the iPwner button n run on your phone before you load the custom firmware. let me know if it works for you.

thanks jk1234 i saw itunes 7.5 and assumed it was only for first generation iphones as 3g isnt supported but if you downgrade from 7.7 it will keep the drivers will try!

Winpwn works but I also agree with you the unlock for windows was damn easy
