Wowwwww erverytime i jailbreak my iPhone 3g with .3 winpwn i dont get my att service. Is this happning to anyone else???

I used winpwn successfully on both my iPhone 3G and my iPhone 2g (unlocked, and jailbroke. I have windows Vista and itunes 7.7. Everything worked great since 2.0.0.3 came out. Before it wouldn't work on my Vista system.

What did you check i only checked install cydia nothing else

No, I have ATT service but my wifi doesn't work, I used this guide.

Does anyone know why this is happening?

It shows WIFI not connected, but it's not grayed out, it just won't find my router or my neighbors router.
Also my mac address is there but I have a question, it shows the same as bluetooth except for the last two digits, the wifi shows :EB and the bluetooth shows :EA is this right?

I had 1.1.4 unlocked and jailbroken with ziphone before I did this with no problems. I know some people have had problems using ziphone , so I'm not sure if that's the cause. I've tried different options as well, like updating the bootloader, i even tried reverting back to 1.1.4 but when I do that then it starts freezing up right aftr I boot it up the first time after the restore. Right now it shows I have ver 2.0 (5A347) modem firmware 04.05.04_G. I also opened up boot nueter and it's set to ver 3.9 nueter on, fake blank on,unlock on, I have also tried going to version 4.6 as well. Does anyone know what the hell is going on with this thing, I searched but I don't see a clear resolution for this, some people have reported that their wifi is greyed out like the hardware is not there, but I can go into mine and select settings for it, it just won't find any access points, I also tried manually adding mine in but it just sits there and says joining,,,,,,, but nothing happens.
Anyone please help

Succeeded on first attempt. These are my specs:

- Windows XP professional withe service pack 2
- iPhone 8GB 1st Generation 1.1.4. unlocked with iplus;
- used winpwn version 2.0.0.3 downloaded from here Main Page - WinPwn to customize the official firmware from Apple;
- did the DFU thingie as explained in this youtube video (you oughtta do EXACTLY as he says, it will work) YouTube - How to put your iPhone in DFU mode ;
- installed the firmware with iTunes version 7.7
- updated my music and even added some music
- safari, mail, youtube, cydia, phone, sms - everything working fine.

If you have any questions to ask me, just go ahead and I can give you more details. PM though cuz this thread is getting kinda voluminous and I might miss your query.

Im sure all of us having problems DO understand and DO follow exactly.. that's what your not understanding.

Should not have to re-install windows to operate this software... that may work but I would hate to go through all that work and have it still not work...

YES this is happening to ALOT of people. Nobody knows a fix yet.. most people having success are using 2.0 on the 1st gen Iphone, not 3G... some people have success with 3G but alot are having this problem.

Might be related to what condition your XP/Vista OS is in but not many people want to re-install windows to find out.

UPDATE - I finally have PROOF - I USED A SEPARATE COMPUTER RUNNING VISTA WHICH NEVER HAD ITUNES ISTALLED AND WAS ABLE TO JAILBREAK MY 3G AND GETTING SIGNAL.. so whoever is having problems with no service like I was I suggest re-installing or using a different computer and try again... I am now having sync problems but I will attempt to sort this out.

You probably did one of the following or all:

1) Do you have iTunes 7.7?

2) You probably didn't pwn the official firmware correctly. For a full guide on how to pwn firmware 2.0 through windows, this is the best guide I found around: WinPwn 2.0 Guide

3) Did you really turn your iphone in DFU mode? We're not talking about recovery mode... you need to have it in DFU mode.

Thanks but I have tried and tried and looked all over.. I guess let me attempt on a XP instead of VIsta...

anyone else's phone going extremely slow after cydia install? mine takes forever to reboot, switch menus and just about everything else. it keeps freezing in settings menu too

I've got the fix for the iphone 3g att service not showing up, on the advanced tab you dont want to check anything, uncheck activate, and only check install cydia and installl whatever custom image you want it work for me

Yeah, pics, contacts, SM themes, SMS messages, and calendar.

As for the installer apps (installer doesn't work yet on 2.0), I let them all go. I'll be able to reinstall the apps that'll be compatible with 2.0 once installer 4 is out.

I didn't restore the backups of the SMS messages and calendar yet, so I don't know if it'll work, but I guess there won't be a problem.

When I installed the new cracked firmware it asked me the set up process and I chose "Harry's iPhone" and it put everything to the contacts to the notes back on there. So whoo for daily syncing!

I was just trying to help. And no, not everyone follows the steps exactly as explained...hence the probs.

Oh, and while we're at it...I managed to get previous wallpapers and ringtones through an iphone browser program.

When I installed the new cracked firmware it asked me the set up process and I chose "Harry's iPhone" and it put everything to the contacts to the notes back on there. So whoo for daily syncing!

Did it put the themes as well? How can you change a theme if there's no summerboard?

Do you have winpwn version WinPwn 2.0.0.3? And try and keep your system free of running background resources since it eats up much of your RAM while created the ipsw file.

Now I am having NO VOICEMAIL SCREEN!!! I tap the VOICEMAIL and nothing happens... it stays at whatever screen I was previously at. I also have to tap it a bunch of times for it to register but NOTHING happens... it says "FAVORITES" but VOICEMAIL is highlighted... I was almost a fan of this winwpwn... Im removing it!!!!!!!!!

vista is so buggy (as an OS) Im not even sure why Microsoft released it. Especially portin programs over totally a nightmare as you all see. XP FTW

XP sp2 here worked on my 3g and 3 of my friends with winpwn 2.0.0.2

Can I use WinPwn just to jailbreak my 1st gen. iphone? I dont want to unlock it, just jailbreak. Is this possiable? I have already updated to version 2.0.

yes just click the cydia option and thats all make sure nothing else is checked in any other boxes
