Son of a gun, not lookin good.. been at it since 10am and im nearing todays threshold lol. Seems like the new version fixed it for a couple folks, but hell I cant get it working on xp32 or vista64 so meh

yea ditto on the mac comment. So anyhow, my update is : on the xp32 box, finally got it to go, but with a much bigger problem now. Once the screen came back up, I got a message in iTunes that says
"The iPhone cannot be used with iTunes because the information required for activation could not be obtained from the iPhone, Check that the SIM card is inserted in the iPhone and is not PIN locked"
did I just maaajor screw up? I got a legit AT&T contract but I messed with the bootneuter/loader settings. Did I just brick it? lol i know jailbreak pwns the warranty so.. madd thanks to whoever can fix that one =P

Yeah, ok maybe i'm doing something wrong...But i doubt it...
I have a Ver 1 Iphone, Running 1.1.4, Has been unlocked for T-mo, Jailbroken, bla bla. Been using on Itunes 7.7 for days..not upgrading to 2.0
So I see that the windows ver of winpnw is out...Load ver 2.0.0.1, and built the iswp, and then went to restore, and held down shift, Got error codes 1600, and then 1601 when i tried it again.
SO i noticed 2.0.0.2 was out...Uninstalled, re-installed .2...Again no problems making the custom build...But now when i go Iwpner Itunes...(itunes is open) it shuts down...Itunes...It tell's me that Ipwner has had a problem, check for solution, or close...(running vista ultimate) So again, i restart, and same result...I tryed the run as admin, and running in a native xpPro Sp.2, and still no go..
So 1 last time...I know my phone has been unlocked...using t-mo, bought it that way...Running 1.1.4....Everything is still installed!
I can build, but when it comes to IP Itunes, It all goes away...
Any help, or am i leaving something out...As well
What will wipe and no wipe do? Do i want to wipe?

For those of you who may be having restore issues in Windows Vista (error 1600, 1601, etc.), you may want to try this out on an machine running XP. I had absolutely no luck on my machine running Vista, but as we speak my iPhone 2g is being pwned on the XP machine.
Good luck to you guys.

In other words your going to put the custom Iphone build we just made in Itunes directly? What file do you put that in? And then i'm guessing you still restore from D-Mode? or right from Itunes?
