To me this says that the 3G iPhone can not yet be unlocked.. AND that if we're 1st Gen iPhone unlocked with T-mobile it will NOT work...

So for clarifications.. I have 1st Gen iPhone UNLOCKED with T-mobile.. Can I use this or not?!?!

i tried typing it into terminal, but it keeps saying that it failed to enter DFU mode.

ok ive posted this in the other thread but no one answered. ive downloaded pwnage tool like 10 times now because it wouldnt luanch the app. it would just bounce on the dock and when it stops bouncing it wouldn't display anything. i need this to luanch!!

aww crap, i think it's cause i upgraded it to 2.0 by accident, does that mean i can't unlock it if i am on 2.0 already?

@ClassiChelle - no. Like I said, the iPhone 3G cannot be unlocked. 1st gen iPhone's can be unlocked just fine with 2.0 on them. iPhone 3G and iPhone 1st gen are two completely different devices.

@cspec - you can't type something in terminal to get into DFU mode, haha. That's just to make sure the dir is created.

To get into DFU mode, hold down Home and Sleep until the iPhone screen is dark, then let go of sleep and keep holding Home for a few more seconds until iTunes shows it sees an iPhone in recovery mode. The iPhone screen will still be black - if it's not, your timing was off and you didit wrong. Re-try it.

I understand that they're two different models.. But the statement about T-mobile is what is confusing..

Like I said, I have 1st Gen unlocked with T-mobile.. Not a 3G...
