Is process reversible by simply doing a regular iTunes restore? Just curious. Thanks!

Things I had to do:

ATT users: under "General" in Pwnage Tools you have to uncheck "activate." Then iTunes will activate your iphone properly during the restore process.

I had to make a "Device Support" folder in Library/Itunes for DFU mode to work.

Delete Pwnage Tools and reinstall if bootloader files are not being loaded.

Basically, (1) Launch pwnage tool, (2) open activity monitor, (3) find process "ps" under all processes, (4) KILL IT.

Worked!

For people who are curious about what "ps" is it's a UNIX command to list process status (hence "ps"). It is sometimes used in scripts and apps to determine if a particular process is running or not. My guess is that pwnage tool is looking for a particular process to be running before it starts. Probably it's looking for iTunes? For people having this problem does it matter if iTunes is running or not?

hey im having trouble jailbreakin my 3g with pwnage. i tried over and over following the instructions, i just cant get it. can someone PLEASE help me ?! or email me the custom file? this is driving me nuts!!!!!!!

Hi there i am following all the steps correctly and got this working on my brother's iphone first but now doing mine and it keeps giving me Unknown Error (1) when i come to load the custom firmware file, any one have any idea what the reason for this is and how to fix it?

Mines doin the same thing, except its "unknown error(6)"
and I never have the DFU setup thingy on pwnage

i tried a different computer and now i am getting Unknown Error 1601

i had that error in the begining, all it means is that you are not in DFU mode. Make sure you follow the guide word for word. you are in DFU mode when the screen is still blank and the pwnage tool will tell you you are in it.

i haven't seen this posted yet, but i got my first gen iphone pwned no problem, however, none of the apps i got from app store will work. they just crash. anyone get this problem? How could i fix it?

So i did the terrible deed it seems and missed the crucial "option" button holding when i clicked restore. Realizing what i had done, i quit itunes, but the iphone appears dead now and won't work with the itunes restore.

Has this been successfully solved yet?

at this point i'd be happy to go back to 1.1.4... cant even do than because it wont go into friggin DFU, any help?

Followed the guide and it worked Great !!! I'm now unlocked and Jailbroken on my 1st gen 8gb and everything works. Thanks

started with a jailbroken 1.1.4 iphone, not pwned

followed the guide, which was way different than the PwnageTool as it is now, there was no selecting all these options, it went straight to creating the customized firmware file, finished, and finished the whole process but instead of the bootloader screen coming onto the iphone, it was in recovery mode, demanding I connect to itunes.

Now I'm stuck. It's stuck in recovery mode, and every time I try to restore it to a different firmware it gives an error. It's still got the pwnage tool logos/icons.

help please!!!!!
