So far, I made it through almost the entire process. The firmware was successfully created and restored through iTunes. However...it doesn't seem to have been activated!!

After the new pwned firmware was installed and the phone restarted, iTunes says that the SIM is not supported. I thought this was supposed to jailbreak, activate, and unlock the phone. Does anyone know what I did wrong, or what I can do to fix the problem? Thanks!

Yeah, do a new custom firmware, and this time go to expert, and go to bootneuter options and check update bootloader (leaving everything else checked), then create the custom firmware from that, and restore it again.

I got it to work for 1st gen iPhone. I downloaded the firmware in Itunes and the the two Bootloader versions. I ran Pwnage, navigated to the firmware when prompted to, same with the BLs. Pwnage then built the custom firmare version to my desktop. I got the DFU error too, but instead switched to iTunes and did the Option-Restore method and selected the Custom build. Voila!

hmmm, it isnt finding my ipsw. I am using the 2.0 that was available the day before the official release. when I use expert mode and browse for firmware, it tells me that it is not the right one. using iPhone1,2_2.0_5A347_Restore.ipsw .. any suggestions?

I'm having the same problem - I'm wondering if we have to do the 2.0 upgrade thru iTunes, then run pwnage 2.0, and re-flash the 2.0 firmware... but that still doesn't make sense, especially since I don't even have my iphone plugged in at the moment.

What version of the IPSW does pwnage 2 require? Where can we download the proper version?

hey havent posted ina while hope all is well, i just completed the process it was easy as **** and the ui is just beautiful considering the little time it took to put together. excellent job. I will be hosting a custom ispw to help those of you already pwned but with windows pc's, i think ill keep it in the "bay" area somewhere.

Sorry, it worked for me and a couple of others who were having problems entering DFU Mode. If you cant get the tool to do it, it doesn't matter. Just enter DFU Mode manually. Then option click restore in itunes to restore to your custom ipsw file created by the tool.
