Does this install OpenSSH? I dont care about Installer RIGHT NOW, i just want to add my own icons and carrier logos and stuff, the App Store is going to hold me over till Installer is updated

2 reminders:
1) You should restore in iTunes before building your custom ipsw to make sure you have the latest firmware.
2) Download links for the bootloaders are in the first post.

What is DFU Mode.., I hate that they put this out and put no info in how to use it!!

So I compiled the new iPhone1,1_2.0_5A347_Custom_Restore.ipsw file for me, but said FAILED when it finished because the phone was not in DFU mode. I started the process all over again and put the phone in DFU mode in advanced but hit the same snag after the new ipsw file was created. Am I doing something wrong here?

mkdir "~/Library/iTunes/Device Support"
If you don't have that directory, the program fails

If you are having problems entering DFU Mode:
mkdir "~/Library/iTunes/Device Support"
If you don't have that directory the tool will fail!!

I don't understand what that means
I have an OTB iphone 3G & my itunes is 7.7. As I use the pwnage tool as soon as I get passed the phone selection screen it states it cannot locate a ipsw file and asks me to download it. I download the zip file & while I try to open it it asks for a password
I can't even go through expert mode or anything
