Custom 2G Firmware 2.0 From cosmoLV
what do we need to do for to work?

@cosmo,
What does this restore actually have?
Jailbreak, activate, unlock ?
Please this is a vital question that we all need to know.
I know that the firmware is for IPHONE 1ST GEN ONLY !!

Do NOT select to restore from backup or you'll undo what you just did. Select new phone. Once it sync's and everything is loaded back on I beleive you can then backup the phone and from that point if you restore from backup it will be with the pwned version.
Someone correct me if I am wrong on that.

Restore Error
I created my custom firmware and I put the phone in DFU mode but it says it never finds it. I tried doing the usual DFU entering mode, I tried using iDemocracy to put it in DFU too, still no luck. Also when I try to use iTunes to restore I get some Restore Error (6).
A little help?
Thanks in advance.

COSMO
what do we do with this file to get everything started?

Look, not to sound like I'm saying the same complaints as everyone else, but seriously, I did everything right and I still get the dfu mode error in PWN even when I'm in it, then I go to restore and I get the same damn (6) error from iTunes. Does anyone know a fix? What is (6) error anyway?
Running:
iPhone 4 4.0 Jailbreakme
iPad Wifi 3.2 jailbreakme

Ive been bitten by the DFU issue as well on my previously pwned phone.
Restored to the 2.0 firmware in itunes
Got the obvious "sim card not supported" message
Created the Device Support folder
Ran Pwnage Tool, selected no to are you a legit user
Created the firmware
Manually put iPhone into DFU mode
Alt+restore in iTunes
Error 6 iPhone cannot be restored
Ive had this phone since 1.0.2 and have never had a problem unlocking with anysim, ziphone, iliberty or the original pwnage but this has got me stumped.

Enter DFU Mode Manually, the pwnage tool just helps you time it. After you are in DFU Mode itunes will allow you to restore from the new file by option clicking on the restore button.
Make sure to mkdir “~/Library/iTunes/Device Support” ; if that directory already exists, remove any files in it. Then re-run PwnageTool.
Entering DFU Mode:
Turn iphone off.
Press and hold-down both the Power and Home buttons.
Release the Power button after 10 seconds exactly. The screen goes blank
Release the Home button after 10 seconds exactly. The screen is still blank

@ xit106
Im assuming this is a custom built firmware pretty much the same as you'd create yourself with winpwn, Its just going to be a custom firmware that we retore to from Itunes.
