Why mac version only, people please realize that alot more people are using windows than mac, and i mean alot alot more. ill just wait for the ziphone version, much faster, no problems, ill wait as long as i have to for it. mac sucks

"mac sucks" from a man pissed that he has to wait a little long to unlock and jailbreak his APPLE iPhone.

Normally I wont chime in on such a comment, quite frankly its an old debate, a truly tired subject. And I honestly believe there are pros for both machines, i.e. windows larger software library vs. OS X stability and kernal base. windows "vista downgrade" release vs. apple's less then easy routes of upgrading. I own both and more then one of each, I personally prefer the Macs, but really only chime in because this seems like the ******** of someone who simply feels entitled. This isnt meant to be insulting in anyway, more ironic then sarcastic honestly. Ill i mean to say is the team continues to give us the ablity to do something we were never intended to have the ability to do. They provide a service neither Apple nor Microsoft are willing to give us. Best of all unlike anything Apple or Microsoft does, they are willing to do it free.
I think Hats off to the team, and a ton of kudos are due long before any complaining about platform preference. They are obviously an amazing group of guys. That being said I have put up a custom ispw at the bay. If you have windows and have pwned your phone before a simple restore with the custom ispw should do the trick without having to wait for the dev team who are probably taking a well deserved breath before compiling the windows version. Again no disrespect intended to anyone, I just felt like since I cant give them any money for this great privldge I would at least do what I can to help them keep the windows users at "bay" and help those users have there phones enjoy this jailbreaking/unlocking love.

i have no clue what is going on. i downloaded the app from two different sources and when i launch it, it just bounces around on my dock. what gives? im using leopard 10.5.4 with my macbook pro. this is frustrating. tried rebooting and reinstalling, no go. this really blowz!

Not sure what the issue is, but I was able to use the software and install the new restore files..(Got the New Startup logo) but the phone still seems to be locked. I am using an 1.13 iphone.

Is there a workaround or solution when you encounter a 1600 level error when restoring the iPhone to the new cutomizned ipsw?

If you get Error 1600 from iTunes (or if you see in your log a failure to prepare x12220000_4_Recovery.ipsw), try: mkdir “~/Library/iTunes/Device Support” ; if that directory already exists, remove any files in it. Then re-run PwnageTool. per the devs

Then why are you using iPhone? iPhone runs a modified Mac OS.
