SyncJe - Wireless Sync of Calendars, Contacts, and Notes
nexthaus.com has released their SyncJe App to wirelessly sync your iPhone to SyncML servers, like goosync and mobical. This is especially usefull to sync on the fly so you don't have to plug your iPhone into your computer to backup this important data (your computer has to be set up to sync as well of course ).
What does it Sync?
According to LouN from nexthaus.com who pm'd me about their release
SyncJe for iPhone is a free 15 day trial, and until Jan 8 we are giving away free licenses to everyone.
You can register here. To install and get running follow their instructions.

Yeah, their instructions end at install pretty much. Does not like my reg. key either, or the License Name maybe (as I'm not 100% clear what that is meant to be either) ...

If you are on a PC, you can use the Plaxo Outlook plugin to sync your PIM data with a variety of endpoints like Google Calendar etc.

Sounds cool. Is there any usage documentation for the app anywhere though?

This seems great, but I can't figure out how to configure it. Anyone know how to find the Google Calendar SyncML URL. Does it exist?
01-04-2008, 06:33 AM #11
# Oracle Calendar Server with SyncML support
* Server: http://
or just depending on server settings
* Database: ./Calendar/Events
# o-sync.com SyncML server
* Server: http://sync.o-sync.com
* Database: ./events
# ZYB.com SyncML server
* Server: http://sync.zyb.com/
* Database: ./events
* Server: http://sync.scheduleworld.com/funambol/ds
* User: <123456>
* Pass: <654321>
* Database: cal
# my.funambol.com SyncML server
* Server: http://my.funambol.com/sync
* Database: ./cal
For Google calendar:-
You can then paste in the URL from Google Calendar into the subscription URL text box.

Is there any way to sync securely? I don't really like the idea of sending my password in the clear.

what settings do i use for goosync?
01-04-2008, 09:58 AM #16
Your license name is patrickj, same as the "username". I realize it is not that clear...
We are working on some documentation for you folks. I am sure you can understand that during beta type phases, things change so hard that it is difficult to have up to date documentation always ready...
I am looking into goosync and I will try to get together a quick step by step process for signup for getting it working end to end...

01-04-2008, 10:31 AM #18SyncJe for iPhone and Goosync.com instructions...
username: goosync username
password: goodsync password
Turn contacts off,
For Calendar, the folder name is "Calendar" without the quotes
Keep in mind, you will also have to log into the goosync web interface, and change your device there to be the iPhone. Login to https://www.goosync.com/Login.aspx then open My Device and then click on "Change Device…" button and find the iPhone.
Let me know if you still have issues...

Do you know what settings to use for google calendar?
Iv tryed all sorts ..just keeps stuck on "authenticating"

How it works is:
-goosync will sync to your google account
-then your iPhone (with SyncJe) syncs with goosync
So the reverse of that is, if you add a cal entry on your iphone, it will get sync'd to goosync, then goosync pushes it to your google cal. Make sense?
The goosync site should make signup and setting fairly easy, then you can use the settings I put in a post above to setup SyncJe for iPhone.
There are similar ways to sync desktop calendars (both paid and free).
Let me know how it goes, we are working on some getting started guides which should give setup instructions in a bit more detail.
