2-way Video Conferencing for iPhone

You could then call someone, put it on speaker, turn on the the app, and BAM, you got video on your iphone. I think this is the best thing I've seen for my iPhone and once they release it and get it working properly (adding audio) we could get some sort of Video-messaging through the data networking, meaning it wouldn't use any of our minutes.

Can't wait to find out more about this.

well you see the camera take snapshots but they can send the frames the camera see across wifi or maybe a slower version over edge.

ipawd: I'm pretty sure this is going to be wifi only, as the iphone doesn't have the capability to send voice data over the phone, *and* use the EDGE data connection at the same time.

Now if it was done via voip, it would be possible, but does the iphone processor, and edge, have enough power/bandwidth to do video/audio streaming? Hmmm.

My question is, unless I'm missing something in other threads, if this can capture video and send it out to another iPhone...is there a utility/app available that does just the capture function and save it? It could have a front end similiar to the Voice Recorder app....

it is a cool innovation in the early stages, especially for coming up with that in such a short time. The solution to the camera being on the back is the funniest part. That huge mirror. Imagine the chicks you could pick up with that thing.
