infraction given!
HAHAHAHA This is funny. Read my next post.
I didnt attack anyone? I stayed on topic so do I really deserve this?
I'm 1 of the frustrated people Apple have ###### (put what you want there) with thier latest firmware. I cant downgrade and the iphone refuses to work so I showed my frustration.Last edited by NakedFaerie; 07-12-2008 at 12:15 AM.

Looking at the factory icons really makes one appreciate your favorite summer board theme.
Soon though, the process will be complete.

You may want to review the MMi forum rules then. Bad lanuage = NO NO even if it's just inferred. Most of the time we can look the other way but after 7 pages of flaming and warnings it's not going to fly.

If you read my post before you deleted it you would've read I didnt read the previous posts so I wouldnt know about the 7 pages of flames.
And 2nd, do you expect people not to flame this video? Its crap. It doesnt show the jailbreaking of firmware 2.0 like it implies and it shows a fail at the end. Shall I do a video showing the same thing and say I jailbreaked the phone and expect people to believe me and not flame me?
I think if you want to give an infraction to anyone its the creator of that video not the people who reply to it.
I guess you can also see my frustration as I have a brick till they release the software to unlock my phone.

Did the 'they' who must release this software which you can freely use also hold a gun to your head and force you to upgrade your phone?
Lets remember who is doing who the favors here, and don't bite the hand that allows you to use your phone on whatever carrier you want to use it on.
Thankfully most people are appreciative and also have some common sense.

The dev team are the "founders" of iPhone modding. Crummy video or not, lets try to remember that.
Apples taste good.

If u read the whole thread before doing somethiny as drastic as upgrading, u woulda seen that it was a demo. You cant expect an unlock the same day as the firmware official release.
u woulda also noticed on page two or three of this thread or maybe the thread about the 2.0 fw release, that there is a downgrade already available.
Try searching.
Breath.
relax.
Get ur phone workin on 1.1.4 and keep checkin back
Plus its just an infraction not a ban.
ban=no worky iphoneLast edited by tattoojack; 07-12-2008 at 12:37 AM.

Great job devs!! Honestly, its really appreciated by the community that you make such a tool to unlock our phones. The best part is you give out the software for free!
Now I wanted to point out that the devs are making this software for free and well, seem, by the looks of this video, to be working quite hard on the software. It hasn't even been 24 hours since the new firmware was officially released, it is more than normal that the software isn't done. On the other hand, it is quite impressive that the software is this far along.
I can't believe that people are complaining about the job they are doing and the speed they are working out, it is just wrong as the dev team is working hard, they are releasing this for free so you can't complain as too how long its taking (it hasn't even been 24 hours since the 3g iphone with the 2.0 firmware has been released!).
If you, for some reason, believe the devs are doing a bad job, then make the software yourself (and release a working version before them if you are complaining about the time to make it). And if you believe the video just looked so bad, then you could have proposed your video editing service and made a better one. The people whining really remind me of spoiled kids.
Well, once again, great job devs, and keep up the great work!

Im not blaming the devs or anything. I flamed the video as it deserves it.
I'm blaming Apple for thier crap firmware and thier locks.
I did downgrade it and now the screen doesnt turn off the restore picture but you can hear it working in the background and itunes thinks its fine but if I upgrade to 2.0 it works fine but locked.
For some reason it refuses to work properly after I downgrade back to 1.4
The Devs shouldnt have released anything till its ready. Look at the PSP scene, the main guy there (DA) doesnt say a word till after its finsihed just to stop flames like this video and all the people asking for it. If they didnt say anything and waited themselves it would all be good wouldnt it?
Thanks for opening it again cash7c3 so I can reply and stay here for another few mins as it looks like Poseidon79 will probably kick me again.

I think everyone just needs to chillout. I understand what some people are saying how the dev team already pwnd before the 2.0 firmware was officially released but now where is the actual product. I think the dev team just wanted to test everything on their end before the actually release so we dont have some people b*tching about how the software dont work and other sh*t.
Trust me I want the dev team to release this as bad as anyone you can imagine. I had a brick for over 3 months now because of some software that wasnt done right (most of you know who it is). I already waited for over 3 months so whats a few more days??
Do you guys even remember what was the original day that the iPhone 3G was supposed to be released but we all ended up waiting for another month for it.
Life is about patients, unless you are a 5 year old then I will forgive you.
So stop b*tching and chillout.
Dev team I have faith in you guys and I got your back.

Heh. Firmware and phone haven't even been out half a week yet and already ignorance is filtering through. Well we make a few hundred members every day so losing a few ignorant ones to a ban really isn't that bad.

twitter.com/dale1vMicrosoft owns the internet through Hotmail. The .HTML is short for Hotmail, so all .HTML files are MS files.

You have to remember iTunes asks if you want to update so all you need are a few people that click yes either by mistake or not knowing it will brick the phone to be in the same situation I'm in with a brick till someone releases the software to jailbreak and unlock the phone.
Its the lame Apple morons that are to blame but its the devs that can fix the problem we find ourselves in. They do a good job WHEN they release what they do.
There will always be people doing something wrong and bricking no matter how good and how much they test thier software so either release it or shut up about it.
The next thing I want to hear from the devs is "here it is, download it now". Until then, shut up and stop teasing us with a fix that we cant even have.
Oh, look, I just turned into a dev. "I can jailbreak my iphone but you cant have it". LOL

OMG! dude thats not what they are sayin.
calm down. i understand you are mad. hey at least we arent in an oil war right now!
oh wait.
the devs dont release crap. if they gave you a program that made your phone brick you would be even madder. so they are testing. until then there is a fix.
here
here
and
here

yes its a simple mistake to make, but do you honestly think these guys get some sort of sadistic pleasure out of saying "ha ha we can jailbreak and you cant!!"

it isn't so much a tease, so much as a "yes, its working, now were going to smooth things up, check for any bugs and issues, then we'll release it when we're sure were not going to make more bricks than fix them"
