Now that there is a 2.0 is jailbroken that means we will have access to the file system.
That means all those Commercial "Non Free" Apps on the App Store can now be ripped from iPhones and copied on the internet for others to download.

Confused?
Lets say you buy Super Monkey Ball for 10.00 and you jailbreak your phone.
You open your iPhone on your computer copy/paste/drag your MkyBall.app folder to your desktop upload to private foreign servers or bit torrent or p2p and bam FREE PIRATED APPS FOR ALL!

sorry to be the one who wakes you up from this sweet dream of yours but umm....permium content from the itunes store is DRMed to ur specific iphone. so even though you copy and paste, it won't work in any other iphone.

To give you an example ipods give you file system access. You are able to copy all the songs in the ipod but if they are drmed (you bought them form the itunes store) they won't work anywhere else.

The only way for the whole "pirating" thing to start happening is when the apps drm get's cracked, and although no drm is safe from cracking it will take a while.

PWN these apple idiots. Releasing a phone with cheap LCD screens knowing there was a huge fuss about white dots on their LCD's last year. What a huge disappointment man.

The whole phone looks cheap to me, I was all excited about getting the 3g and after I checked it out today I dont know if I want to sign a 3 years contract (fido) for that "cheap looking iphone" I mean I think the first generation of iphones will always be classic, they just look like they are actually made by apple.
so I am still thinking but even if I buy the new one, I will still keep the old one which I had already sold, but I had to back up the deal after have seen the new 3G crap.

I upgraded my iTouch and it's pretty cool. Only crap thing is there is no IM to support MSN and no YouTube downloader

wow thanks for the support mate, iam also in u're mind set to keep in touch with my classic iphone , the only thing is taunting me from the new iphone is battery life and the gps thats all other than nothing else

SUCCESS!!

Got the newest Pwnagetool.
Installed on my Leopard side of my PC.
Made sure I had iTunes 7.7

Did a restore so it downloaded the latest firmware.

Went into pwnagetool, GOTO EXPERT, select the firmware file.
FOR 3G users who tried and got no service after, you dont need to
downgrade, or anything like that, go to general settings, and UNCHECK unlock.
If unlock is checked, your sim will not be active (doesnt harm it tho).

Customize everything else to your liking and let it do its work.
If you get an error when it finishes, and NOT the walk through for DFU,
the you must close, go to Terminal, and do the
cd ~/library/itunes
mkdir "Device Support"

(if that dir allready exists, make sure its clean)

Note: do this in terminal!


When you get it into DFU mode, may take a couple tries to get, pwnagetool will tell you to close and do the restore in iTunes. IF YOU DONT GET THIS MESSAGE, go back and do it all carefully following instructions again, cause you'll get error 6 if you dont.

Once it restores, it will be one nice jailbroken 3g iphone.
