.mac Still Down me.com Running - Sort of.
Mac.com has been down for awhile now leaving many people unable to access important things in their .mac accounts. Good news! Me.com is sort of up!
Reports are coming in that people who have bought new me.com accounts are able to login and access all the features. Unfortunately us loyal .mac users are still totally SOL since our .mac accounts have not been ported over to me.com yet

Well that sucks

Well I just went to me.com and logged in with my .mac info and it looks like my account is working just fine.

"Sort of" is a good description. I did log in using my .mac info. I think it's working. It's incredibly slow and stupid.
Reminds me of Windows Me

Yeah, mine is pretty slow too. But hey they're just getting it online so let's see how it speeds up later I guess.

Existing .Mac user. I was able to get on last night. I now have 3 computers (2pc and 1mac) syncing. It's a bit annoying right now because the "resolve sync conflicts" box keeps popping up and when I try to resolve the conflicts it says "server busy". But it does work...I now have 4 calenders the same. This includes the one on my iPhone which I synced but didn't upgrade to 2.0.MacBook, MacMini, PC, Averetec Laptop, iPhone 3G

Maybe they should use Linux servers :-D, they are generally good with web request.

I just signed up with a new account on me.com.
After I synced my mac, I logged in and it said "New Member registration is not yet available." I'm unable to log in and see if it synced probably.
so it is SORT OF working. It's extremely sluggish and I still get that error screen every now and then. Geez.
This has not been a good couple of days for Apple.

"MobileMe web applications not yet available.
The MobileMe transition is underway but is taking longer than expected. While core services such as desktop mail, iDisk and sync are available, the new MobileMe web applications are not yet online. Thank you for your patience as we complete the upgrade."

I published some albums on my acct and told some of my family members about it and was describing how cool it was that they could subscribe to it and upload and see the changes as I added pictures...now I look stupid because the subscribe feature is not working for me. Is anybody able to subscribe to albums?IPSW?

trying them out. Don't know if i'll keep the trial. I like that I can push my contact / calendar and bookmarks between my devices. As far as my home computers though it's nice but not so needed cause I can do the same whenever I sync iphone to mac. I do have other computers and some windows based but only thing I'd want on them if anything are my bookmarks which I can easily backup on my own.
I like the gallery feature. Although once again I have servers and sites so while nice not really so needed. I also like the backup / idisk feature. However I don't know how comfortable I feel about uploading anything sensitive. Wouldn't even do that on my own server.
To be short I think it's cool and has some nice features. Having it under 24 hours though I'm still trying to evaluate how useful it'll be to me.
I'm doing to setup one of my domains on it and see how that integrates.
